@Mrpchemistry @javalab_org It's one of my favorites, too! I use their neutralization simulation, too, both for neutralization in general and titrations.

@KatyDornbos My vote is for ABDC. Use lab/simulation to derive a partial activity series, then do redox. I do electrochem after redox in AP chem, and test on them together. I think C could wait until later, but reminding them about what they learned in Electrochem helps when we get there.

I'd be grateful for input from chem teachers! I'll be teaching a unit in 2nd year chem including: A) SR Reactions (& reduction potential) B) REDOX (in general) C) ΔG, ΔS, ΔH, ΔE D) Electrochemistry and Galvanic Cells In what order do you teach these topics?

@tyleradewitt That seems reasonable, particularly because wealthier schools will likely have more AP students and can afford a higher total cost.

If you teach #apchem, would you be interested in a textbook (and video series?) that students can actually understand, doesn’t contain the unnecessary technical stuff that isn’t tested, and would be a friendly resource for preparing for the exam?

@tyleradewitt I don't know. Schools need to budget for textbooks anyway, but I never get the newest edition when I order new textbooks because my rural public school district can't afford that, and I only get new textbooks infrequently - AP requires no more than 10-year-old books, I think.
