1/ The time for excuses is over. Next week, Conservatives will force a vote to compel the government to release the Defence Investment Plan- nine months overdue and still nowhere to be seen. This is the blueprint for how we spend taxpayers’ money on defence.

Labour MPs don't know where money comes from. That's why Keir Starmer is a dud and why every contender lining up to replace him will be one too. You can't fix this busted flush of economic illiteracy that is the Labour Party, so stop trying. My open letter to Tony Blair below👇 thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Britain is suffering from a collapse of consequences. If we’re going to fix it, we need to get tough.

Ed Miliband’s ideological shut-down of Scotland’s North Sea Oil & Gas Industry is going to hand Vladimir Putin £1 billion in oil revenue. Our own oil is right there, under the North Sea. All we need to do is drill it. Only the @Conservatives will get Britain drilling.

So weak. If he spent more time in Parliament he’d see we’re beyond ‘conversations’ Nigel should catch up with @KemiBadenoch & @Conservatives who’ve already tabled laws & amendments to ban 1st cousin marriage. It’s time for action with Conservatives not words from @ReformUK
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage

Sweden has just banned cousin marriage. It causes serious health problems in certain communities, and it's inherently un-British. We must have a serious conversation about a ban in Britain, too.

REFORM - IT NEVER ADDS UP. Reform’s latest gimmick has been ripped apart by tax experts and economists. Reform claim that ‘tax-free overtime’ would cost £5bn. It’s actually been costed at almost triple that - because it would be open to abuse on an industrial scale👇🏻 🧵 (1/9)

Douglas Lumsden is fantastic. He’s worked in the oil and gas sector, he led Aberdeen City Council, and he’s fought for the North East of Scotland as an MSP. Now, he's the only candidate who can fight off the SNP who are trying to break up the UK. Vote for Douglas on 18 June!

Only Douglas Lumsden can beat the SNP, and fight for Britain’s North Sea Oil & Gas Industry. Meet @DLumsden_MSP, our Conservative candidate for the Aberdeen South by-election ⬇️

It’s time to end the de facto ban on air conditioning. Only 3% of British homes have air con compared to 90% of homes in the US, or Japan. We need to overturn our miserabilist approach to energy which says we alone can’t have air con or AI. Let’s Make Britain Cool Again 🇬🇧

Polygamy is illegal in the UK. But if you’ve married 4 wives overseas and moved here, you could claim up to £78,000 in benefits. Paid for by British taxpayers. That is absurd. Conservatives will end this.

This case strikes me as extraordinary, both for the police behaviour and judge's apparent direction to the jury. Carrying an 8" knife is illegal with very limited exceptions which do not include "self defence". The Criminal Justice Act makes that plain, and the Sentencing Council says in terms "carrying a knife or other weapon for protection is not a lawful reason. " The Attorney General should be reviewing both this case and the case of the two teenage rapists ASAP. I don't know what is happening with our justice system at the moment, and I am not alone in that concern. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Starmer, Burnham, Farage, Polanski…These men have one thing in common. They all want nationalisation. That will mean companies run by politicians but paid for with YOUR money. There’s only one party that stands against their failed ideas and that’s the Conservatives.

Britain’s bill for April is due, and it’s eyewatering. Thanks to Rachel Reeves, we’re spending over £10 billion just on paying the interest on our debt. Conservatives are the only Party with a plan to fix it.

Thank you. I've taken some time to reflect on the #localelection results we've just had, and it still hasn't quite sunk in. In my home of Harrow, we held control for the first time in decades, increased our majority from 31 to 41 / 55 councillors and I personally was returned with the largest increase in votes of any Harrow councillor. We won in safe Labour seats and blew the opposition out the blue water Harrow is now covered in. But the story continues across London. These results were not the nail in the coffin for the Conservatives that many predicted. Instead, they showed that where we are rooted in our communities, deliver competent local government and speak to the priorities of working people, voters will back us. Harrow has become an example of what Conservative renewal can look like in modern Britain: aspirational, patriotic, community-focused and unafraid to stand up for outer London families who too often feel ignored by the political establishment. Our borough is one of the most diverse in the country, yet residents rejected the lazy narrative that diversity and conservatism cannot coexist. They backed lower taxes, safer streets, better local services and councillors who are visible and active all year round - not just at election time. While others talk Britain down, we showed optimism still matters. While others retreat into managerial politics, we fought with energy, clarity and conviction. Most importantly, this wasn't just a victory for one party machine. It was built by hundreds of volunteers, activists, residents and candidates who care deeply about Harrow and its future. The work continues - but these elections proved something important: reports of Conservatism's death have been greatly exaggerated. #Harrow #LocalElections #LondonPolitics #Conservatives #ConservativeRenewal #OneNationConservatism #CommunityPolitics #OuterLondon #LevellingUp #PublicService #BritishPolitics #Campaigning #ElectionResults
