Thank you. I've taken some time to reflect on the #localelection results we've just had, and it still hasn't quite sunk in. In my home of Harrow, we held control for the first time in decades, increased our majority from 31 to 41 / 55 councillors and I personally was returned with the largest increase in votes of any Harrow councillor. We won in safe Labour seats and blew the opposition out the blue water Harrow is now covered in. But the story continues across London. These results were not the nail in the coffin for the Conservatives that many predicted. Instead, they showed that where we are rooted in our communities, deliver competent local government and speak to the priorities of working people, voters will back us. Harrow has become an example of what Conservative renewal can look like in modern Britain: aspirational, patriotic, community-focused and unafraid to stand up for outer London families who too often feel ignored by the political establishment. Our borough is one of the most diverse in the country, yet residents rejected the lazy narrative that diversity and conservatism cannot coexist. They backed lower taxes, safer streets, better local services and councillors who are visible and active all year round - not just at election time. While others talk Britain down, we showed optimism still matters. While others retreat into managerial politics, we fought with energy, clarity and conviction. Most importantly, this wasn't just a victory for one party machine. It was built by hundreds of volunteers, activists, residents and candidates who care deeply about Harrow and its future. The work continues - but these elections proved something important: reports of Conservatism's death have been greatly exaggerated. #Harrow #LocalElections #LondonPolitics #Conservatives #ConservativeRenewal #OneNationConservatism #CommunityPolitics #OuterLondon #LevellingUp #PublicService #BritishPolitics #Campaigning #ElectionResults
