@BarryKiefl No. I worked at CBC many years in 5 different locations. For decades there was talk of shutting it down. It's easy to complain about the "Mother Corp" but it still provides quality not found else where. In many parts of Canada CBC "legacy" services are the only ones available.

CBC says its digital services reach ~16 million people/month for 30 minutes on average. CBC TV reaches about the same # of people/mth for ~5 hrs on average. CBC radio has a monthly reach of ~11 million/mth for 25 hrs on average. Would you shut down legacy TV/radio services?

Printing presses kept their letters in cases. Capital letters went in the upper case. Smaller letters went in the lower case. This is why we say ‘UPPER CASE’ and ‘lower case.’ Ok, but what did we call them before the invention of the printing press? MAJUSCULE and minuscule.
