West Virginia is beginning be known world wide because of the great success of the WVU baseball team and the support of our fans as demonstrated through our singing of Country Roads after each Mountaineer win. Earlier today the USA victory in the World Cup was celebrated by 75,000 fans singing our favorite song! Go Mountaineers!!!

"Being average means you are as close to the bottom as you are to the top" -- John Wooden
This is NOT the time for @WestVirginiaU to be average
@WVUBaseball showed us what is possible & this partnership with @JohnsHopkins challenges us to expect more of ourselves
Let's Go!
3 Guys Before the Game@3Guys__
This week felt different. @WVUBaseball showed what’s possible when you refuse to accept limits. Now the Johns Hopkins partnership with @WestVirginiaU signals that same ambition beyond athletics. For generations, West Virginia has celebrated resilience. Maybe it’s time to celebrate excellence. The standard has been raised. Why not us? #WVU #WestVirginia #NextPlay

@brookiepierce13 @KadenK9418 Good for you! God Bless America !!!

The Arizona Diamondbacks had pride night tonight, so @KadenK9418 and I decided to show our pride in our country. It’s absolutely insane to me that we only have a memorial DAY for the men and women who gave their lives for our freedoms and a whole MONTH for the LGBTQ community who only have the freedom to celebrate because of our veterans.
I will forever be celebrating pride month by taking pride in my country and remembering those who gave their lives and have fought for our freedoms.❤️🇺🇸

@Chancembarker12 Loved watching you play young man! You and your teammates have made all of us very proud. Princeton is now for the first time ever a Championship City. Go Tigers!!!
English

@KenKendrick18 Thanks for coming to the game, Mr. Kendrick! Our team has worked hard every day to bring the State Championship home to Princeton. Thanks so much to our coaches, families, and all Tiger fans! This one is for you! Go Tigers!🏆

@MikeAsti11 Nicco is a high integrity young man who has been totally committed to WVU football through some very challenging times and has given us some great moments on the field as our QB. I certainly wish him the best with his recovery from a really tough injury.

After talking with a trusted source, I have learned the truth about the timeline and severity of Nicco Marchiol's injury.
His injury is far more severe than people realize and it may put his entire college career in jeopardy no mater where he ends up.

I have known Nicco since his high school days in AZ. I honestly think he loves WVU more than I do. He has remained committed to our football program through some very challenging years and even a coaching change. Having a season ending injury which occurred in the Pitt game is just one more challenge for him to overcome. He is a warrior and I’m hoping for the very best for him in the future.

Charlie Kirk was arguably the most impactful young leader our Country has produced over the last ten years. He was a man of strong beliefs which he shared and debated with his mainly college age audiences in an engaging and respectful way. He was brutally assassinated today while visiting a college campus and debating with students in his always respectful way . We have lost a true leader. May he RIP.

@tylerbowyer @azcentral These radical “reporters” have been active participants in the destruction of a once great newspaper.
English

Elvia, EJ and Laurie all got canned at @azcentral after I warned that their unbalanced and subjective opinions were damaging the entire organization.
Instead of taking responsibility for their contribution to journalistic decay, they all made excuses and refuse to apologize.

I'm leaving The Arizona Republic & azcentral but I won't stop defending free speech. Why? Because civil society is crumbling slowly. And journalism, despite its flaws, remains one of the last defenses. 1/ azcentral.com/story/opinion/…

@MikeAsti11 Those who live in the past are doomed to repeat it. Let’s move ahead!
English

Look, it's getting absolutely ridiculous how much some WVU fans are still obsessed with Neal Brown. His tenure wasn't good enough for the standard of the West Virginia program. Everybody knows that. He even knows that. He's gone. Rich Rod is back. I can also guarantee Rich Rod doesn't want to constantly hear about how much everyone hates his predecessor. It's why he tried to calm that noise down publicly. Nothing can be done to change the last 6 years now. It's time everyone just moves on.
English

So the Arizona Repugnant is closing up shop. @ejmontini @LaurieRoberts “opinions” are to blame.
More advertisements than news/stories.
Along with the fact that they completely drained the paper of any joy once they started pushing their political “opinions” trying to convince the minions it was fact/truth.
Feel good stories, recipies, fashion, automotive, movie/restaurant reviews, youth news, and local events were all a thing of the past.
They did this to themselves, good riddance.

@WVUFoundation @gordongee Gordon Gee is the longest serving President in WVU history and deserves a big Thank You from all of us for his many contributions to our University and to the State of West Virginia!
English

Since his days on campus Oliver has stayed involved with WVU throughout his very successful life and will be an outstanding member of the BOG. Over the last several years we have worked together to assist WVU athletes through the Country Roads Trust. His leadership of CRT should be appreciated by all of us that support The Mountaineers!
English

@SportsTalk_304 AMEN!!! You nailed it. We just completed the best season in WVU Baseball history!
English

Imagine Bob Huggins retiring, and leaving a protégé head coach. Then imagine that coach winning 30 games, the regular season conference championship, and making the Sweet 16. Oh and 20 years ago the team was playing in a highschool gym. Now apply that to WVU baseball. Still think Sabins should be fired?
English

@MikeAsti11 I have been involved in professional sports for more than 25 years and realize that some “fans” just don’t get it. We should all be proud of our Mountaineers winning the Big XII Championship! CONGRATS!!!
English

Some of the replies to this are downright odd. I totally get being disappointed with WVU’s slide in recent weeks, but a conference title is a conference title and suggesting a program shouldn’t celebrate a conference title or saying you don’t want it as a fan is just bizarre.

🗣️ SAY IT WITH US! THE MOUNTAINEERS ARE BIG 12 CHAMPIONS!! 🏆

@WestVirginiaU @coachrosshodge I have learned over my last 25 years of hiring professional coaches that both competence and character matter. I hope Ross Hodge brings both of those qualities to WVU!
English

@shoewizard59 All my best to Jordan as he undergoes TJ surgery. Let’s hope he’s back on the mound next season.
