@andrew_leach Since his columns are now just streams of Rob Anderson's (mostly) unattributed quotes and thoughts, the love is understandable.

Find someone who loves you as much as Don Braid loves a sabre-rattling Premier. The more the sabre is made of glass the better.

@andrew_leach Back the tax, jack (up) the tax, don't attack the tax, the tax pays back, the tax don't raise the price of schweinshaxe...gotta be a slogan here somewhere.

So, since 2018, oil and gas, transportation, buildings, heavy industry, and electricity (all covered by carbon pricing) have seen drops in GHGs (about 7% in each sector and the economy as a whole). Agriculture, where emissions are almost fully exempt from pricing, is flat.

@andrew_leach Legalese is so non-intuitive. Do you read 13(2) as saying that cogens that provide more electricity behind the fence than they export to the grid are totally free of the CO2 limit in 9(1)?

One post about health care efficiencies and the trolls are out. Where’s @JMeddings when I need him most. 😂

Cory Doctorow NO LONGER ON TWIT TER
The Canadian national identity involves a lot of sneering at the US, but when it comes to oligarchy, Canada makes America look positively amateurish. 1/

@josh_wingrove US trade deficit with Canada is about 10% of trade volume. Hardly massive (nor is it remotely a problem for the US).

@andrew_leach Such a pain in the ass to capitalize using a phone, too. It's almost the only thing where this guy doesn't take the laziest path available.

Pour one out for the "recovering academic" who had arrived in my mentions to explain how the real issue is that the left has moved to the centre and embraced neoliberalism.

@andrew_leach A position also taken by Jamie Galbraith in The_Predator_State (at least to the extent that they ceded all attempts at planning (e.g. industrial policy) to markets).

The UCP is telling you to “get a job” when they created the lowest wage growth and highest unemployment province in Canada. Funny they didn’t tell ex-MLAs like the following to get jobs, they kept them on government $$ Jeremy Nixon, Rosin, Milliken, Madu, Olsen, Frey, Shandro
Janet Eremenko@JanetEremenko

Here's the UCP's Government House Leader telling people to get a job to handle the affordability crisis. A serious slap in the face to every single Albertan working their asses off to pay the bills. #ableg #yyc #yeg

@andrew_leach Is there much activity around putting HV transmission underground to avoid the increasing frequency of weather related catastrophes (e.g. wildfires in CA)? That would be costly.

Rick's going to be mad when he finds out that I do bike year round, I do have solar power in my home, and that I have previously held the Enbridge Professorship in Energy Policy at the U.

Every time I get a COVID shot, I'm good for exactly 4 hours, then I get crushed. Got the shot at 3 today. We're 70 minutes into the being crushed phase.

The concern trolling is set to 11 today. I'm inundated with climate change deniers who, trust them, are vegan to save the planet, and people who would love renewable power to work but they are really worried about the emissions in the concrete and the plastic in the pv panels.

Other provinces are launching vaccination campaigns. In Alberta it seems our Minister of Health isn't even sure that "vaccines" have been approved by Health Canada...
Mark Lehman@Mlehman99

Question @AdrianaLaGrange @Alberta_UCP@nenshi - when is Alberta launching Covid/Flu vaccines? Don’t try and pull that trick you pulled last year. Covid vaccines are safe-important and people are dying everyday from Covid infections #CovidIsntOver #vaccination #CovidIsAirborne
