Getting first calvers back in calf has to be one of the biggest profit losses for a commercial cow/calf producer. Local vet saying averages 70% conception rate compared to cows +90%. How are people approaching this?

@Howiefarming @severnangus Any weight loss in the last trimester is detrimental, feed intakes, and energy increases are very important so she calves quick, with out even knowing maybe we should happy with a 15 kg lighter calf at weaning but a pregnant 1st calver would be worth alot more than the 15kgs,

@CraigFarmlink We unloaded 4000t a year with a farmking 1060 and have had for 16years and had minimal problems it still good only upgraded as I needed a second auger, best 20k you could spend

On Friday, we held our yearling sale in Albany, Western Australia. 49 out of 49 bulls were sold and we had an average of $6500. The top price bull, lot 14 went for $13,500. Thanks to all our loyal clients in WA plus our WA team. Harry and Ruth Lawson plus Bevan Ravenhill
