Getting first calvers back in calf has to be one of the biggest profit losses for a commercial cow/calf producer. Local vet saying averages 70% conception rate compared to cows +90%. How are people approaching this?

@pbl1972 We have hundreds of these in our bull sale display yards. They have been there for over 15 years and cause few problems. Our insulated ratchets have porcelain insulation.

Using a few of these rachet insulated end strainers on some very short sections of new fence around the house. Any tips from experienced users?

What are Farmers doing to reward them selves, family and staff after big farming events? Such as harvest, shearing, sheep sale etc? The most successful and rewarding are often the fastest forgotten. Sometimes the money comes in and we just go on with the next big job. #asktwitter

@redbankgrazing Lallemand is the best. 1L mix per bale. Tank on baler and spray onto pickup. Plenty of first timers use firefighter and spray on windrow in front of baler.

@Howiefarming @Dstoate Some of the breeds use to publish average phenotypic data in their Breedplan docs. Let's say average Angus cow weight is 650kg. Breed average MCW EBV is 98. This bull's MCW EBV is 21. So 77kg lighter. 650 - 77 = 573kg. Not exactly a midget.

Our new genetics usually arrive frozen in an AI can. These 🏊‍♂️ have some attachments. Fingers crossed his semen is ok given he’s been cooking in the Kimberley for a few years. @Dstoate
