HELP ME, I CAN’T HEAR YOU Well, I can hear you a little bit, but you come in low, under what doctors tell me is a 10 out of 10 tinnitus. You see, on September 9, 2020 I sat down for my first chemotherapy treatment - throat cancer - and it blew me away. I was dreadfully allergic to it, and I thought I would die. They had to stop chemo entirely because of it. I still beat cancer through 35 radiation blasts to my head. But the chemo left me with blazing, screaming, unending tinnitus in both ears. This is a brain injury. I haven’t had a moment of silence - not one millisecond of quiet - since. I wear hearing aids that play fractal tones to distract my brain, but I still have 10/10 volume screaming in my ears 24/7. The tones are just more noise. I’ve tried a lot of therapies: acupuncture, EMDR visual therapy, hypnosis, lipo-flavonoid supplements, CBD, THC, micro current electrotherapy. Nothing helps much at all, except prayer. For some reason, the screaming wakes me every day at around 4:30am. The best treatment we’ve found: we bought a house with a terrace off the second floor master bedroom that faces the sunrise. When the noise wakes me up, I make a coffee in my bedside Nespresso machine, go on the terrace to read, listen to music and podcasts, and pray. Two hours later, God gives me this a magnificent sunrise.👇 Today, as we prepare to celebrate His Resurrection, He told me to ask you for ideas. Do you have tinnitus? Can you, dear reader, help me? Please tell me how to stop this torture. I’ll do anything.
