Excellent story about Cascade County politics. I think the collapse of Democrat fortunes in Cascade County is due in part to the failure of the Democrat Senate Caucus to put Tom Jacobsen in a leadership role in 2021. 1. Fully endorsed the Gingles framework for racial vote dilution claims.
2. Fully rejected Alabama's argument that a "race-blind benchmark" should replace Gingles.
3. Confirmed that Section 2 applies to districting and is constitutional.

50 years ago, the framers of our Montana Constitution had the foresight to create the framework for one of the nation’s first independent redistricting Commissions. Upon filing the plan to become law, they also had the foresight to ensure we dissolve. Hallelujah!
