The Olympics have a third-place game because bronze is an actual medal. The World Cup gives you absolutely nothing and still makes two devastated semifinal losers suit up for a nationally televised humiliation ritual. The NFL doesn’t make the conference championship losers play for third. The NBA doesn’t make the conference finals losers play for third. MLB and the NHL don’t either. Because in real sports, once you’re eliminated, you go home. The World Cup third-place game is an embarrassment.

I’m done with Wolf and Saraf. Both came into summer league looking the same. Saraf still can shoot or dribble and Wolf is the softest 7 footer ever who was benched for the entire second half of a summer league game because the game was too physical.

I had a coworker at my old job whose wife packed him the exact same lunch every single day. Turkey & Swiss on sourdough, baby carrots, a bag of BBQ chips. Sometimes he had salt n vinegar. Every lunch also had a little sticky note that just said things like: “Love you. Have a great day ❤️” I used to make fun of him for it… he said one day he’ll realize how special this is. Just saw they welcomed their third kid. Sometimes the little things really do end up becoming the big things.
