PSA: You are probably standing closer to your microwave than you should, especially if you have a carousel or turntable in the unit. In the video, I am measuring microwave RF emissions from 3 ft away. At 2ft away it’s in the unsafe zone, at 1 ft the dangerous zone.

@TheBattlecock Very nice work, two questions: 1) did you freehand the lines or draw them out ahead of time? 2) how did you land on the size of the forward index point? I would have naturally thought ‘smaller is better’

It took awhile by hand, but I earned these tight borders and seamless pattern with endless repetition.

@appathfinders Depends on the level as well as your experience with the technology. Technician is pretty easy even for those with minimal experience. Extra is quite a bit more involved and benefits from solid experience with the technology as well as a technical background.

How time and resource dependent is getting a HAM license?

@goblin_goddesss It’s a very capable camera, the full size sensor, size and weight are fantastic. If you have older EF-EFS lenses you’ll need an adapter, but that works fine (I’m using the adapter for these images).
