On 26th–27th March 2026, EANNASO took part in the Tanzania Ministry of Health Sub-Working Group meeting on Adolescent and Gender in Reproductive Health. We were privileged to present our Budget Tracking and Policy Analysis on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) across SHARP project regions contributing to stronger, evidence-based decision making for adolescent health. Together, we continue to advocate for improved access to quality SRHR services for young people across the country.

Art has the power to save lives, and today we’re using it to fight TB. Music is our weapon of choice. A beat can travel where words cannot, a melody can carry a message deep into a community, and a song can make people stop, listen, and act. Alongside spoken word, bold murals, and community theatre, music is leading the charge, breaking the silence around this disease and turning awareness into action. Know the signs: a persistent cough lasting 2 weeks or more, chest pain, fever, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss. #TB spreads through the air when someone with active TB coughs, sneezes, or speaks, making crowded and poorly ventilated spaces especially dangerous. The more we talk about it, the more lives we save. Don’t miss it. Join us today at @uonbi grounds and be part of the movement. Yes we can end TB! 🎶🎨 #StopTBKe #WorldTBDay2026 @StopTB @NTLDKenya @StopTBKe @TheUnion_TBLH @pamojatbgroup @MOH_DHP

Malaria won’t wait, and neither should inclusion! This #WorldDisabilityDay, we’re calling for systems that break barriers, amplify voices, and make sure persons with disabilities are at the heart of health interventions including malaria programs. #ConfrontingLegalBarriers

Kenya and the United States Advance Strategic Health Partnership to Strengthen UHC and Global Health Security Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale and National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Hon. John Mbadi on 13th November 2025 co-chaired a high-level bilateral meeting with a United States delegation led by Ms Susan Burns, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Kenya. The engagement reaffirmed the deepening Kenya–U.S. partnership in priority areas of mutual interest, with a strong emphasis on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and the Global Health Security Vision. Discussions centred on aligning Kenya’s UHC agenda with the America First Global Health Strategy, which places focus on resilience, sustainability, co-financing, performance-based implementation, and shared accountability. Hon. Duale underscored the Government’s commitment to leveraging strategic partnerships under Sustainable Development Goal 17, highlighting progress in disease surveillance, outbreak response, laboratory systems strengthening, human resources for health, digital health, and strategic investments in the sector. He also outlined ongoing reforms to enhance long-term sustainability, including the restructuring of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) to ensure efficient last-mile delivery, and the development of a digital superhighway to support real-time track-and-trace systems for transparency and accountability. The Cabinet Secretary reaffirmed the value of Kenya’s longstanding collaboration with the U.S. Government through PEPFAR, USAID, CDC, and other agencies—partnerships that have strengthened health systems and saved millions of lives. He further highlighted gains achieved through sustained cooperation with the Global Fund, citing a 66% reduction in tuberculosis deaths, improved treatment success rates at 89%, a drop in HIV incidence from 6.8% in 2005 to 3.3% in 2024, significant declines in malaria burden, and a reduction of over 90% in under-five mortality. Hon. Duale noted that these outcomes reflect the transformative impact of sustained investment, strong governance, and strategic partnerships that continue to drive Kenya’s national health and development agenda. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretaries Dr Ouma Oluga (Medical Services), Dr Korir Sing’Oei (Foreign Affairs), and Dr Chris Kiptoo (National Treasury); Director-General for Health Dr Patrick Amoth; Mr Brad Smith, Senior Adviser for U.S. Global Health Security and Diplomacy; Global Fund Head of Grant Division Mr Mark Edington; and other dignitaries.
