‘Don’t you think people have better things to worry about?’ ‘…you need to get out more.’ @Lewis_Goodall and Conservative James Cleverly go back and forth over the level of ‘public disquiet’ over Muslim prayer.

‘Would you have felt dominated?' @Lewis_Goodall puts Tory MP Nick Timothy’s ‘domination’ comments on Muslim public prayer to his colleague, Sir James Cleverly.

@HeathrowAirport another great performance from the ground staff at Heathrow. SAS flight from Oslo landed 15 mins ahead of schedule. However, stand allocated already has a plane in it. Now it’s moved but stand doesn’t have the correct length bridge for this sized plane! Hopeless

We’ve been working with FC Elmstead on issues relating to their lease with Bromley Council for some months. Although we’ve secured some agreement, unfortunately the opening hours of The Roost Chislehurst will now be severely restricted for financial reasons. @FOCRG petition here

The competition between some (not all) of the @BBCr4today presenters to see who can be rudest and smart-arsest with government ministers (though rarely Farage and Co) might be one of the reasons they are losing so many listeners. @patmcfaddenmp did well there not to say “if it’s so f-ing easy why don’t you give it a go one day Amol?” Also wonder whether the “morning ministerial round” has had its day. Pat better than most at covering all issues but often such a waste of time to have Minister for X answering Qs on issues ABCD and E (usually what’s big in the right wing rags) followed by one Q on the thing they actually know about.

@JuliaBradbury @ClennellMick @ITV Mick has a point here. ITV’s lack of patriotism is appalling and BBC no better. I remember watching James Martin’s French Adventure and Rick Stein’s Secret France a few years ago: neither of them made any mention of Agincourt at all. Disgraceful.

@JuliaBradbury during an episode on South Georgia, mentions NOTHING about the dramatic defence & retaking of that bleak island from the Argentinians in 1982. Exploration, Whaling yes, British victory no It would have been, of course, way too patriotic for her to mention it @ITV

Speaker Lindsay Hoyle was on a jolly to the British Virgin Islands when he says he learned Peter Mandelson was apparently a flight risk (unlikely). No surprise he was in the Caribbean. Long been branded ‘long-haul Hoyle’ at our expense, spending more than £320,000 of taxpayers’ cash on foreign jaunts up until last summer since becoming Speaker in 2019. He spent more than £200,000 on first and business class plane tickets plus tens of thousands more spent on chauffeur-driven cars, stays at luxury five-star resorts and restaurants. During a previous Caribbean tour in March 2023, he shelled out nearly £5,500 chartering private planes to hop between the islands of St Maarten, Montserrat, Anguilla and Antigua. In 2024, he spent £22,000 for a five-day trip to meet his counterpart in the Cayman Islands, staying at the Westin Grand, where his room was billed at £679 per night. His snout. Our trough. They really do take us for fools.

Well said @Geordie_Greig about reckless (and clueless) Boris Johnson on @bbclaurak. I can see why Tory lickspittle Dacre had to let you go. Laura K can’t be happy about you attacking her idol though

@michaelwhite I think that was evident when he (@afneil ) started banging on last week about non-detachable plastic bottle tops as an example of EC autocracy….

@bbclaurak I look forward to seeing you counter the claims about you being a Boris Johnson lickspittle by actively challenging him about his support for Trump despite the latter continually taking Putin’s side.

@BBCr4today Usual fare from reliably hopeless @JustinOnWeb.Happy to feed lines to go-to anti worker rights business “leader” Luke Johnson with no interruption whilst multi-challenging Prendergast. Odd how LJ’s failures at Patisserie Valerie & Brighton Pier never get a mention.

So why are all plastic caps now tethered to their bottles in Poland and everywhere else in EU (even Brexit Britain has fallen in line)? Answer: EU Directive 2019/904 imposed just over six years ago. Illegal to ignore in EU. Just a modest example from many to refute his denial
Disclose.tv@disclosetv

NOW - Poland's FM: "This myth that gave us Brexit, that somehow Brussels bureaucrats are imposing directives on member states, is complete nonsense. That's not how the EU works."
