@KenyaDeep

I have made mistakes but I have never made the mistake of claiming that I have never made one.

Amkeni!!! The government has allocated KSh 95.25 per learner for essential school needs. 95 bob. Not per day, not per week, just 95. Look at the first picture then look at the shopping list for a grade 10 student. I bought exercise books and pens only right now because the money wasn’t enough to include all the requirements. Exercise books and pens cost us over 1000 shillings. What exactly is that 95 shillings supposed to cover in today’s economy? Exercise books alone costs like a thousand bob. Add textbooks maintenance, stationery, teachers’ guides… and somehow that same amount is expected to stretch across all of it? How? This is completely disconnected from reality. The cost of basic school supplies has gone up, transport has gone up, everything has gone up, but funding per child is sitting at an amount that can barely buy a decent pen and a few books.

I will not tire to remind you that: Ugali (corn meal) is useless, has zero nutrients, inflames your gut and destroys your metabolism. Want to confirm? Eat Ugali and then do a blood sugar test: Your blood sugar will be above 24 mmols/l, and Your Insulin will be above 50 micro-units per Milliliter. Guess what happens when your blood sugar and Insulin are always high? HYPERINSULINAEMIA and PRE-DIABETES. All patients with chronic inflammation are prohibited from consuming this useless paste. Modern cornmeal is even worse. It is manufactured from cornstarch. Cornstarch is milled from the most useless part of the maize grain called the endosperm. Rats and weevils are even more clever than human beings. They eat the embryo/plumule/scutellum and leave behind the useless endosperm. Corn is used to fatten cows in South America before selling them. Cornstarch is exported to third-world countries to feed "hungry" citizens because their governments have been misadvised to end the diversification of traditional seeds. Corn is planted on a large scale, therefore the seeds are GMO and the maize plant is raised with carcinogenic fertilizers, herbicides and glyphosate. The health of the soil is horrible because the fertilizers and herbicides have killed the soil microbiome which helps the roots to absorb micronutrients and trace minerals. Therefore, these maize plants lack nutrients, and therefore the grains are bland. Ugali or cornmeal, including maize grains themselves, could be the silent cause of cancer and reproductive maladies, but we want to blame meat and eggs. Once you break free from this useless thing called ugali (cornmeal), you will discover hundreds of nutritious foods that are healthy and satisfying. People eat ugali (cornmeal) because they want to fit into a cultural identity or feed their dysfunctional cravings. People don't eat ugali (cornmeal) because of nutritional needs but because of cultural traditions. PS: You will start seeing chaotic comments like "What should we eat"? They ask such questions because their food comes from supermarkets. They cannot think beyond the shelves. I wonder if in their world, the only available food is maize. Brainwashed masses. #FoodFriday
