On 23rd March 2026, Mrs. Njoka, Head of Chancery, represented the High Commissioner at the implementation meeting of Canada's Africa Strategy. The session was moderated by Ms. Cheryl Urban, Assistant Deputy Minister, Africa, and Pan-Geographic Affairs, while Hon. Rob Oliphant, Parliamentary Secretary, delivered the overview of Global Affairs Canada's implementation of the strategy. During the meeting Heads of Mission of the African Diplomatic Corps engaged Canadian Officials on the achievements so far and gave unique insights to enrich the strategy's implementation. Thereafter, Mrs. Njoka attended the reception celebrating the first anniversary of Canada’s Africa Strategy together with African Heads of Mission, Canadian Officials, partners, and stakeholders. Canada's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Anita Anand and Hon. Randeep Sarai, Secretary of State (International Development) delivered the key speeches marking the celebration. Hon. Amina Gerba, Independent Senator for Quebec, also shared her remarks. Through the Africa Strategy, Canada aims to strengthen partnership, shared prosperity, and security. It reflects a commitment to building a stronger, more collaborative future with African partners

Today, the High Commissioner, H.E. Ambassador Carolyne Kamende Daudi, accompanied by officers from the Kenya High Commission - Ottawa, attended the Annual Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention (OFVC) in Niagara, Ontario Province. The High Commissioner was able to interact with stakeholders including farmers and their Associations as well as exhibitors. On 17th February 2026, The High Commissioner, H.E Ambassador Carolyne Kamende Daudi was honoured to attend the Ambassadors Reception for the 2026 Global Affairs Canada Study Tour, themed Understanding Canada. The guest of honour was Ms. Lisa Almond the Director General of Pan-Geographic Affairs Division, Global Affairs Canada. The event was organized by the Canadian Bureau for International Education and brought together exceptional scholars and students who are recipients of the Study in Canada Scholarship, a short-term study or research exchange programme. The students hailed from 20 countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. Mr. Thomas Odeyo from Kenya who is doing a Masters Research Exchange at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario was one of the beneficiaries. H.E. congratulated him for his achievement and urged him to continue flying the Kenyan flag high.
