@makaumutua More like Nicholas Biwott
To elevate career opportunism to the level of Mboya’s historic legacy is a joke that diminishes the serious intellectual weight of our liberation heroes

A white South African farmer named Christoffel Johannes Stoman from the Western Cape has been accused of deliberately running over a six-year-old boy with his vehicle, breaking both of the child's legs.
Stoman allegedly accused the boy of stealing oranges from his farm. According to reports, he made the remarks in front of the boy’s screaming mother and reportedly told police he would do it again.
The incident has sparked outrage, with many highlighting it as an example of ongoing racial tensions and violence faced by Black farm workers and communities in parts of South Africa. Stoman faces charges of attempted murder.

What is this arrogant, fake expert saying? Even the most powerful, highly experienced and highly educated leaders in the world have advisors for a reason. And what Winnie Odinga told him is nothing but the truth!

I’ve signed a petition calling for accountability over the humiliation of a Grade 10 student in the Kenyan Senate. No child should ever be degraded in public institutions. Join me in demanding action and stronger protections for children’s dignity: amnestykenya.org/petition/petit…

@Kenyanimimi @Ohta_Ryota Why punish this old man in diapers, at this current situation he should be allowed to rest and start making peace with his maker in preparation for the journey ahead. The man has been in politics since Iddi Amin in early 70's up to now.

I have watched Dr Gikonyo under cross examination and what struck me is that some men reach an age where intimidation stops working on them.
There is a certain calmness that comes from having seen governments come and go, presidents rise and fall, ministers behave like small gods, and public storms disappear after a few weeks. You could see a man who was not auditioning for approval from the room, the lawyers, the cameras or the political crowd outside.
That is what made it interesting. Kenya is full of people who tremble the moment power enters the room. They start calculating what to say, who might be offended, which side is watching and how tomorrow’s headlines may read. Dr Gikonyo looked like someone who has outlived that fear.
At some point in life, the most dangerous person in any room is not the loudest one. It is the old man who no longer needs anything from anyone.

This morning I was at @ntvkenya studios. The company is valued at Ksh 2.7 billion and is home to award-winning journalists. Those brave storytellers drive or walk through this mess behind their office every day to and from work. Sakaja doesn’t care about fixing Nairobi anymore.

I was grateful this evening to host the President of the French Chamber of Commerce, Alain Di Crescenzo, who paid me a courtesy call at the office while attending the Africa Forward: Africa–France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth Summit in Nairobi.
We had a productive discussion on Kenya’s business environment and explored what more can be done to attract investment, create opportunities for our youth, and accelerate the growth and development of our country. I was greatly encouraged by his strong interest in Kenya and the immense potential for deeper business ties and stronger bilateral trade relations between our two nations.
