I also know Muslims - there are many - who aren't fundamentalists. I've met gay and lesbian Muslims. The issue is fundamentalism, not religion. We don't fight fundamentalists by demonising all Muslims.

I think that some Muslims are indeed dangerous Ms Keen. Just like some Christians, some Sikhs etc etc. And I'd agree that fundamentalist religion of ANY kind is dangerous to women.
However it's remarkable how many Muslim WOMEN are attacked in the name of opposing Islam

I’m my own woman and very much not associated with any other group. It is to the shame of each and every woman who calls herself a feminist, left-wing, or a women’s rights activist if she is not speaking about the danger of Islam. I neither seek nor need permission, approval, or applause to speak the truth. But I cannot help the lack of courage or insight in others, either. Always ahead of the curve. (When I stumbled across the existential threat of men in dresses and child mutilation I was a Labour voter, I was also acutely aware of the evil of Islam)

I really hate the “no person who works a full-time job should live in poverty” discourse. It should simply be that nobody deserves to live in poverty. We have to let go of the idea that we work in exchange for our worth. People are innately worthy and deserving of the basics.
