@KersevanRoberto @Electroversenet Disagree. To handle the fairly predictable loads on the grid, you don't need granular weather forecasts. You should have enough padding to handle cold snaps and heat waves.

Germany built one of the largest wind and solar fleets on Earth. It dismantled its nuclear power stations and retired its coal, with the promise that green energy would power its future. The country spent billions transitioning. Then winter arrived, and "Dunkelflaute" hit - the dark windless dead zone. Wind and solar fell to barely 5% of demand. The grid staggered. And Germany was forced to fire up old coal plants it said had closed forever, and import expensive nuclear from France. This is the physics politicians fail to mention, and a point many people still fail to grasp. When the wind dies and the sun sets, renewables disappear. And the only way the grid survives, the only reason countless millions don't freeze to death, is thanks to oil, coal, nuclear and gas.

@Perowinger94 Ihr schießt dem Land erst die Beine weg und dann preist ihr den neuen Rollstuhl. Ihr könnt weder Batterie von Kraftwerk, noch Leistung von Energiemenge unterscheiden. Das AKW Grohnde hat die dort geplanten 6 GWh alle 4 Stunden wetterunabhängig auf wenig mehr Fläche produziert.➡️

So geht Energiewende! Am 2021 stillgelegten AKW Grohnde entstehen gerade 3 riesige Batterie-Kraftwerke mit 1,4 GW Leistung und mit angeschlossener PV-Anlage. Hier soll zukünftig der Windstrom aus dem Norden gespeichert und dann bei Bedarf weiter nach Süden geleitet werden. Speicher sind essentiell für das Gelingen der Energiewende und wurden politisch viel zu lange vernachlässigt. Schön zu sehen, wie das Thema jetzt an Fahrt aufnimmt und wie alte Atom-Infrastruktur für die Energiewende umgenutzt werden kann😊

@KersevanRoberto @BurgerleinWatch Even Czech Republic, for that, if the mines will be reopened. Until 2027 and from 1946 they mined more than 100.000 tons of uranium. The uranium Nazi Germany used for nuclear research came mainly from the Jáchymov mine in Sudetenland.

The Chinese business model is dramatically more efficient than its European counterparts. China can manufacture a new vehicle or latest model dramatically quicker than their competitors. European auto manufacturers are slow, arrogant and lazy. China is running circles around them and it poses an existential threat to their brands.

German car exports to China have been collapsing the past few years. Chinese quality improved and they started buying their own cheaper domestic cars. The EU failed to pass the trade deal they agreed to last year. So Trump just increased tariffs 25% on EU manufactured cars. The Germans (BMW, Mercedes, VW) are screaming at their govt. They are getting crushed in China and now about to get crushed in the USA also. German factories are already dealing with electricity prices that are 2x to 3x higher than China or the USA. Their manufacturing is not competitive and being forced to shut down. And at the same time China and USA markets are being closed off to them. The European Union is economically getting crushed right now. Energy prices are out of control and factories are not profitable.
