However, before I make that decision I want to share a map of NC and how there were several counties that turned Pink! There were counties that overwhelmingly voted for Trump, but chose Josh Stein, a Democrat for Governor.

So Eugene's main concern isn't the park...but the people who are SLEEPING in them and the political theatre that is happening regarding affordable housing. Try calling him.

AND TO KNOW MAB's ties to Barnhill, JC's position at Dix, to watch the "redevelopment" of Heritage, the plans for waterfalls, & a walking trail through Shaw's campus..

For what it's worth. I don't live or vote in Raleigh, but I do have a voice. So, I am re-sharing my personal endorsement again for Eugene Myrick. I split with friends and some allies on this, but let me be crystal clear. I am not for Janet Cowell or anyone with ties to the Dix Conservatory or the Dix Edge Park or anything related to the expressed suffering and maybe future suffering of my people. I understand that in order to be mayor or run for mayor, she had to step down as CEO. I have not heard her detail plan to mitigate displacement. I think Truth Ruth is a very nice guy based on the little I know about him, but I've never met him personally. So, he would get my second endorsement just because of that. I really wish he would have won last time. Back to my point, the master plan for Dix Park is about "a great park," but it's more than that. It is the history of who once lived and died there, and it's about the catalyst that this great park is already having on future housing and development. There is already new development in the pipeline, and the park is driving this whole new economic development. Why doesn't Raleigh have an acquisition plan for affordable housing here? If it does, publish the plan. Land will be eaten up by the expansion of Lake Wheeler Road, leading to land loss and probably displacement. There will only be more housing for the wealthy and possible continued displacement of low wealth and lower wage people. The potential TikTok ban proves what I've known for a long, long time. Your voice is the most dangerous threat to mankind. But what most don't understand is, the more you try to silence voices, the louder folks become.

Here's a partial view what a voiceover conference looks like through my eyes. I saw so many beautiful faces with voices to match. I even got to speak on a panel with some insanely talented women. My life has been changed for the better. The voiceover industry is magical.
