Yesterday our Year 5/6 classes visited Trip to Dartmoor today. Year 5/6 visited Burrator peatlands on Dartmoor to consolidate their learning about National Parks, Fox Tor Mire peat bog restoration & sphagnum moss. @St_Marychurch #nurturingmindsfulfillinglives

Trip to Dartmoor today. Year 5/6. Consolidating their Geography learning by visiting Burrator peatlands. It was a bit grey but the rain held off to a degree! Great time was had by all! Thank you @dartmoornpa @SWPeatland

Y4 had a fantastic time on their residential at Warren Barn; new friendships were made, bushcraft was learnt, the Bat & Moth games was a hit & personal challenges achieved by many. Valuable learning beyond the classroom. 😊🌿@St_Marychurch

Y5/6 finalising their felt pieces of work based on Beth Hill, Hillfolk Art. Reflecting on & assessing their work is an important skill too. They’ve all worked really hard on this art unit & produced some beautiful pieces. @St_Marychurch @Bethathillfolk

In D&T, KS1 are thinking about structures. Today, the children learnt what a structure is, why they’re designed and built in certain ways and why certain materials are used. Their task is, in groups of three, to create an enclosure for a dragon! 🐉 @St_Marychurch

My husband and his friend are walking a 36 mile section of the Two Moors Way today - Ivybridge to Drewsteignton. I’ll be catching up with them again later. They’re doing well so far. Raising money for @cftrust
