Restore, leave or add a new one? 🤔 The good folk of Kirkby Lonsdale brewery who’ve taken on managing the pub part of the the legendary Kirkstone Pass Inn are seeking opinions.
I’ve offered my own in private.
What do you think?

Friday into Saturday bivvy above 2500ft on Sgairneach Mhor. The temps at Dalwhinnie dropped to -9C. The night sky was so beautiful. The sun crept over the horizon to herald a phenomenal day.

@theiaincameron For the sheer fun of it, I'd love to dig a snow hole and kip in it for the night. The closest I've had to that is a bivvy bag and a tarp.
When was the last time that someone in Scotland saved their (or someone else’s) life by digging a snow hole? I see it’s still taught as part of the Mountain Leader course. Why?
Personally I’d rather spend the time getting off the hill instead.

@LifeAfloat And you keep your head up and keep swimming. So many people struggle every day and they all make the world a better place. These are real people with real feelings. You are not alone.
@CountrysideBen Saw one years ago at at Derry Lodge, sunbathing on the track. Cocker Spaniel walked right passed it without so much as a sniff, glad about that! Love to see one again lovely creatures.
@DuxburyCarole@LifeAfloat No, we weren't chased. We passed by a pair and another with a single signet. We were followed by seals for 10 mins who were very curious about us.
@KevEd2022@LifeAfloat Loch Etive is gorgeous. Did you get chased by swans? my husband was windsurfing on there many years ago and a pair of swans took great exception to his presence😲🦢🦢
