That was a good bivvy! Left Drumavuic after lunch on Saturday and reached the summit of Beinn Sgulaird after sunset. Cloud poured over ridges and would continue to do so for most of the night. I found a sheltered spot just under the summit. #Munros #bivvy #Scotland

Friday night bivvy a stone throw from the summit of Creag Mhor (657m) by #LochVoil A dazzling display of stars faded as the moon came out. The frost on my #bivvybag glistened in the moonlight. Temperatures rose through the night and I woke up inside a cloud. #Scotland #Grahams

Friday into Saturday bivvy above 2500ft on Sgairneach Mhor. The temps at Dalwhinnie dropped to -9C. The night sky was so beautiful. The sun crept over the horizon to herald a phenomenal day. #Munros #Scotland #Drumochter #bivvy #bivy

08.02.2026 A smirry kind of a day. A clear summit in the morning, #GlenElgbrochs and a visit to Gavin Maxwell’s #Camusfearna where he wrote the wonderful ‘Ring of Bright Water’ (a favourite book when I was growing up) - such a beautiful location. #Scotland Pics need a click!

@CasegFraith Thank you for the translations. I remember these two mountains (from their name) on an OS map came up in ‘O’ Grade geography. I had always wanted to climb them to find out what they were like. Today was my second ascent.
