Joe Schoen will have multiple 1st-round picks for the third time in the NFL Draft since becoming the GM of the New York Football Giants in 2022.
After fleecing the Cincinnati Bengals with the Dexter Lawrence trade, to now have the Giants drafting at 5th and 10th in the 2026 NFL Draft, and clearing up a ton of cap space, I'll be the first to give Schoen his props.

The #Giants’ situation with All-Pro DT Dexter Lawrence is not in a good place and has not been for a while. While money is a big part of it, another element is that Lawrence has seen many players leave the organization over the years. He’s stayed quiet, been a good soldier, and tried to be a team guy. So when it became clear last year that he had outplayed his contract and it was time for a new deal, the organization not taking it so seriously felt like a slap in the face. That has continued this offseason. In the words of one source: “He understands what those players who were shown the door by the Giants felt.”
