Victor Wembanyama during his trip with the monks at the Shaolin Temple: — Had to shave his head — Learn martial arts — Run through forests at 4:30 in the morning — Condition his body without bulking — Had to eat high-protein meat meals inside a hidden sprinter van — Wanted to learn how Kobe Bryant mentally prepared — Hiked a dangerous trail while dribbling a ball for 4.5 hours — Mediate for 30-90 minutes everyday This is unheard of 😳 (via @ramonashelburne)

Why does Spain care so much about Palestine? Like it's weird. They threatened to boycott the WC if Israel was there, they already do for the Eurovision. Barcelona won the league and had a Palestinian flag on the bus during the parade! Etc etc Like they don't even have that high of a Muslim population compared to other countries, so why is this issue so big for them???

Reasons I suspect LeBron will return to the Lakers on a discount: - Likely his last season, uprooting his wife and daughter to play elsewhere for a single season feels unlikely, especially on the East coast. - Opportunity to continue playing with his son. LeBron and Bronny shared the court in high leverage moments to end the season. It still remains a huge drawing card. - Proof of concept as a third option. It might still feel a little bizarre, but LeBron knows how beneficial it is to play third option throughout the regular season from a body preservation standpoint. He’s seen it work in real time. He was fresher this year for the playoffs than he was last season. The degree of burden he’ll carry elsewhere is unknown. - Everywhere he’s gone, he’s won within two seasons. It’s one of the great nods to his legacy. Putting that in jeopardy may not be wise, because the weight of expectations will inevitably follow him. He’s not physically in a position to single handily shift the balance of power in his favor in his 40s. - There will come a point in this offseason where the Lakers realize they need him. There comes a point where you realize it’s not just LeBron walking out the door, it’s his production, IQ, versatility and leadership too. The combination of attributes he brings is incredibly hard to find and not easily replaceable. - Despite what people might try and convince you of, the trio of Doncic, Reaves and LeBron is quite dynamic offensively. James understands that. - There is unlikely a destination he can go to where he’ll play with a co-star that can carry as big of an offensive load as Luka. Doncic’s high usage at this stage of LeBron’s career is a plus. That is hard to walk away from. - The Lakers want to host the retirement tour. - The Lakers (unlike some other potential suitors) in theory are well placed to put together a team that can compete with the Thunder and the Spurs with cap space and draft capital at hand. - He has a very close relationship with Austin Reaves. Perhaps closer than anyone else in the league right now. - LA has some of the best golf courses in America.

Moved here in 2013. Don’t know who Vin Scully and Chick Hearn were. Never ate at Tommy’s or Zankou. Wants to take away our cars. Wants to ban BBQs. I’m sick of these carpetbagger politicians who don’t know the place they represent.

Spencer Pratt drops just a few hundred bucks (~$50–$300) on these killer AI videos and racks up MILLIONS of views - while his opponents blow millions on traditional ads. This one is straight fire. If he wins the LA mayoral seat, he’ll have used AI for GOOD. Game changer.

There is nothing funnier to me than watching a company drop $20,000 to set up a booth at a conference in vegas... Your competitors are buying flights + paying for hotels & standing on their feet for three days just to scan QR codes from people who will never buy their software Meanwhile I stay on my couch and steal all 3,000 attendees for absolutely free The traditional conference model is a complete scam because the organizers LITERALLY publish the entire attendee directory on the public event app so people can network They put the names and job titles of 3,000 cash-heavy buyers in a public database for anyone to take Here is exactly how you can execute this tomorrow Register for a free virtual pass to any major industry summit & open the event app on your desktop... run the directory through AI-Ark It scrapes the entire list + finds their verified direct emails in minutes You now have the exact contact info for thousands of executives actively walking around a convention center looking to spend money... Load that list into Hey Reach and message them while the keynote speaker is still on stage "Hey [name], saw you're at the Vegas summit right now. I actually install the exact outbound systems all these sponsors are trying to sell you, but without the insane retainers. Open to a quick breakdown before you fly home?" They are overwhelmed by desperate salespeople on the convention floor & you just offered them a frictionless escape route directly to their inbox We did this on tuesday during a major saas conference 3,200 scraped = 55 booked calls = 12 closed deals $144,000 in collected cash without ever leaving the house Dm 'siphon' if you want to copy this exact system & siphon thousands of warm leads a month directly from your competition

Well, that was a crazy turn of events. Three weeks ago, I thought Parker was going to be acquired in a deal worth nearly $90M. Yesterday, we filed for Chapter 7. I spent most of my twenties building Parker. We went from an idea in YC to processing over $1B in annualized volume, pioneered products that became standard across fintech, and built something I believed could last for decades. And now it’s over. I know there’s going to be speculation about why Parker failed, but a lot of what’s being said online is simply not accurate. Over the last few years, we faced leadership turnover, a much tougher market, slowing growth, and the realities of trying to scale a venture-backed business after momentum fades. Earlier this year, we decided the best path forward was to pursue a sale of the business. We ran a process and spent months working toward a potential acquisition that ultimately did not close. After that, things moved quickly. The hardest part is the impact on the people involved: •Customers dealing with disruption •Employees losing jobs they worked hard for •Investors who believed in us losing money What I am proud of is the team. Parker was built by incredibly talented people who deserved a better outcome than this. Helping them land somewhere great is my top priority right now. If you’re hiring operators, engineers, designers, finance, credit, or growth talent, please reach out. To everyone who believed in Parker over the years: thank you.

Ryan Holiday is the enemy. Anyone who preaches humility is a poser who wants to manipulate you or a retard with zero self-esteem. He is both. I’ve been saying this since 2020 online and before to those who know me irl. Ego stays on top. Fuck Ryan Holy Gay

The modern pop “philosopher” is a shallow, purposeless and embarrassing fraud. Safe, non-threatening, strikingly unoriginal. These self satisfied snobs sneer at Nietzsche, know nothing of Aristippus, pretend Aurelius is interesting.

some really great Miami Beach food recs 👇 close to the convention center as well: - Mister 01 - pizza (get any in the star shape) - Motek - Greek food the rest are great but a bit further also would add sandwich spot (open til 5am): - la sandwicherie
Chris | Glazing and Custom Homes@chris_sperry

@nikkifrommia avoid most of these. Yardbird good, casa Tua good, Macchaliana amazing, Santorini, Mila, Prime 112, Stubborn Seed, Forti di Marmi, Jaya, Call me Gaby, Joe’s, Motek, Vecino’s, Mister 01. Havana 1957 is OK but not great. Cuban tough on beach. born and raised in Miami :)

apple products are sold out. infinite demand for inference, rate limits everywhere. anthropic & openai growing at ridiculous pace. nvidia & google at all time highs. record meta earnings. we are now more supply constrained than demand constrained. i suspect we’ll see inflationary pressure again very soon. fundamentally, technology is the economy, & the economy is technology.
