This is so wrong, I was station Baghdad when Wikileaks broke.and it put our sources, and contacts at risk. Everyone stopped talking to us. Also put our military, intelligence and diplomatic folks danger. Personally knew family members who had to move. Also helped Putin in 2016. 1

Time to pardon Julian Assange. The founder of WiKiLeaks unlawfully published a trove of confidential US military documents pertaining to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The worst was a video of a U.S. chopper attack on civilians in Baghdad. That happened in 2010. Bad man? Journalist? He’s been mostly in asylum, hiding in and out of the Ecuadorian Embassy in the UK since. 14 years. Life ruined. Punishment enough. Pardon him. Stop wasting time and money obsessing over weird, white-haired Australian WiKiLeaker-on-the-balcony.
