@anfieldforge I'm not going to blame Wirtz when he's not playing in that floating playmaker role which we all know he can play. Playing to deep, on the left to much, on the bench to often, hardly how you treat a marquee signing.

Liverpool 25/26 signings ratings: Mamardashvili – 6/10 Has been solid overall and probably could’ve been even better, but he’s spent most of the season behind an absolutely horrible defence and has basically been our number two. Frimpong – 5/10 Still genuinely don’t know what he is. Is he a right back, is he a right winger? Doesn’t really look convincing in either role and defensively he gets targeted constantly. Leoni – 2/10 Looked very good in his debut, then got injured and missed basically the entire season. Harsh maybe, but if you only get half a game all year from a signing, it’s a poor season overall. Kerkez – 6/10 Started the season like a complete headless chicken. Improved as the season went on and settled into it better, but never really set the world alight. Wirtz – 4/10 Extremely underwhelming considering the fee. No real standout MOTM performances, nowhere near enough goals or assists for the money spent and games just pass him by too often. Ekitike – 7/10 Only signing that’s genuinely been good. Very exciting player, flashes real quality and unpredictability, but still looks raw at times and drifts in and out of games. Isak – 1/10 Awful signing. Turned up unfit, couldn’t get fit, then broke his leg and somehow still looked unfit afterwards. Absolute disaster of a season.

@JacobsBen Am I the only one which thinks Liverpool have to sign two wingers and not a versatile forward? They have spent millions on two forwards which you need to make fit and ready. LFC have not got x2 wingers each side, Frimpong is not a winger and should not be considered good back up

Yan Diomande remains a leading target for Liverpool, as reported in April. PSG are also considering a move, while the Leipzig winger is on Manchester United's list of options as well. Liverpool view Diomande as a strong fit, and capable of playing both sides. Key to any deal will be Leipzig's asking price, which is currently at around €100m. Leipzig would ideally like Diomande to sign a new deal, but haven't discounted a sale. Bradley Barcola another target if PSG open to the door to an exit. Not a given, but PSG stance could soften if they find a replacement. Liverpool have a historical interest in Anthony Gordon, who almost joined in summer 2024, but it is Bayern who remain in talks. Arsenal another club who appreciate Gordon. As revealed in March, Liverpool are likely to sign either two wingers, or one and a more versatile attacker.🔴

@KevinBeckley7 @YazzLFC Arne Slot has killed the confidence in these players. Mac Allister, Szoboszlai used to score from outside the box — now 2 games, 0 goals. And we still have technically gifted players like Ekitike & Wirtz. No way I’m blaming the players.

I’ve been patient with Wirtz because I still believe he’ll justify the hype but too many games leave me wondering what he’s actually impacting. For that kind of price tag, you expect real influence, not just flashes. Right now, he’s drifting through matches far too often. Frustration.

@LFC_Tandy @LFC Alonso is not the answer, you need a tried and tested manager like an Enrique, Conte, Naglesman, Gattuso someone that's been round the block. Not an unknown or former good footballer with little to no mileage on them. Alonso in another 5 years maybe?

Remember when Slot spoke earlier in the season about wanting to play the right way which you don’t get in the Premier League? He had the opportunity today against the best footballing playing team in the world, went with a five back and got pummelled. I hate him.

@Mobyhaque1 Wins in Europe, losses or draws in the prem. If the European teams didn't play a different type of game I would be expecting differently. I'm still at a loss what Slots tactics are, though he managed well using Klopps. The form and results is a manager thing not a player thing
