@7daysnjm Old entries have a way of guilt tripping you into writing the next one. Even a couple sentences tonight closes the gap.

@Musclebolt_ The phone is usually what kills this one. By the time you've scrolled for 10 minutes in bed, the morning light window is gone.

4. Get Morning Sunlight (10-20 Minutes) Eyes and skin exposed, no sunglasses. Sets your circadian rhythm and naturally boosts testosterone + energy. Average men wake up and scroll. Beasts go outside and charge their manhood.

@VS_Philosophy Guitar works if you already play. For most people the replacement has to be almost as easy to start as the habit they're trying to kill.

The best way to break a bad habit. Replace it. Don’t try to just stop doomscrolling. Instead play the guitar in that same time. Stopping something is hard, replacing it is easier.

@APJAK7 The anesthesia part lands. Trouble is the hollow stuff keeps getting cheaper to ship and the dose just keeps climbing.

But here is the twist — we are blaming the wrong thing. The phones, the porn, the cheap dopamine? They aren't the root cause. They are just the anesthesia. The real crisis isn't that teenagers can't stop scrolling. It's that we built a world so hollow they can't stand to look at it.

If you gave a lab rat unlimited cocaine and a button, it would press it until it died. We did something worse to today's teenagers. We gave them a glass brick that dispenses cheap intimacy, instant dopamine, and endless escape — then wondered why their minds are rotting. Thread:-

@toxicak7734 The feeds are doing most of the damage here, not the generation. Hard to keep focus when every app is built to end it in five seconds.

@0927SEY Genshin past midnight always starts with 'just the dailies'. Three hours later you're still in a domain farming artifacts you don't even need.

@Resnawaya Saving art without reading everything is a pretty underrated way to use it. The timer just makes you skip the stuff that wasn't for you anyway.

@PatsFanEst1986 @credealjunkie That combo of Apple's restrictions and Bark handles a lot for an 11 year old. The real headache is usually when her friend group all migrates to a new app overnight.

@credealjunkie Her social life depends on that phone. On 11yos phone, I use a combo of apple’s parental controls to restrict the phone (blocking from installing apps for example and screen time limit) and Bark to monitor messaging among other things.

My oldest is 11 and at the age where all her friends have phones. Unfortunately for her, her parents won’t let her get one. So my wife came up with a compromise, and we’re one day into the experiment. To solve the legitimate issue of no-phone kids being left out of social planning, my wife joined a WhatsApp group with our daughter’s friends. She promised not to read the messages, and will tell our daughter when there’s a new one. Daughter can respond under supervision, because unfortunately for her she inherited basically zero self discipline from her father and we don’t trust her not to abuse the privilege. So we’ll see how it goes. I expect a failure of titanic proportion for a dozen reasons, but hope to be proven wrong.

@skibidee69 Keeping it short is what usually makes it stick. A couple sentences is enough to break the phone habit without turning journaling into another thing you abandon by next week.

@GAMELIFECAM That's a brutally honest way to put it. The weekly screen time check is usually the thing that pulls you right back in, so maybe just skip it.

i've been messing with this sleep to earn game and it's lowkey genius turning bedtime into something fun. you basically raise a dino buddy @sleepagotchi by tracking your sleep getting rewards every morning and building streaks for bigger wins. unlocks new heroes customize your room fight bad dreams and earn nfts plus sleep tokens on solana all while fixing your actual rest. no fancy gear needed just consistency and you stack real stuff. pretty cool if you're tryna sleep better and get paid for it. grab the app or telegram bot and start your streak.
NabiYok🍌@nabi_sarvi

Get ready to get some $SLEEP 🦖 ever notice how real success kinda starts with that full deep sleep, rebuilding you so you actually wake up ready? that's why i got into @sleepagotchi, it turns healthy rest into this fun adventure with your dino buddy earning rewards. makes you see sleep as the quiet foundation for everything big

A blank page is the real reason most people quit journaling. Prompts help, but most of them are so generic they make writing feel like homework.

Working on a small change to the lock screen today. The unlock button needs to be slightly less obvious than the write entry button. Subtle nudge in the right direction.

@superior_hombre 31 sneaks up on you. The habit apps are usually the ones you told yourself served a purpose six months ago, so deleting them feels like admitting you've been bored the whole time.

@GrowthWarrior1 The habit vs purpose one is the trickiest. The list is almost always shorter than people expect once they start actually writing it down.
