@Hoobito97 I really hope Will shows enough in preseason to give them that confidence. I don’t think it’s set in stone by any means but I think coaches put a lot of stock in game experience. I feel like Will has the most uphill battle right now because of experience and who drafted him

@Hoobito97 If they viewed Howard as a guy they could mold, they wouldn’t have drafted Drew. Drew is their project. They need a trusted backup, so Mason would be that guy. I wish Howard would have had the chance to show something last year, but he was injured. He was a Tomlin pick.

@Hoobito97 I don’t say this because I like Mason. I just think that they view him as a guy who they’re comfortable with stepping in to a game or two and not losing them. If you’re building a roster, you need a starter, a trusted backup, and a guy that you’re building for the future.

@TheCaptain42069 @steelernation If he’s out all year, then maybe they put Drew in and let him get experience. The point is that this staff thinks Drew is worth their development time. Howard isn’t any further along than him to warrant being a backup if there’s an injury to Rodgers.

@TheCaptain42069 @steelernation Sure, if he’s out for an extended period, but if he just misses a game or two, we need a guy who can manage a few games and hopefully not get in the way of the other players. We saw it many times with Ben. Like the time Batch came in and beat the Ravens years ago.

@Blitz_Burgh That’s a lazy take, and I think he’s pandering to please Tomlin since they are now working together. We are much improved over last year. Our secondary is way better, we have a legit 2 at Wr, our RBs are better, and most important, we have better coaches all around.

@dhookstead that’s a good point man. I was angry and kind of scared. and i wouldn’t even have the freedom of speech if all types of people braver than me hadn’t sacrificed for it.

Good buddy of mine comes from a very wealthy family, enlisted, served at the tip of the spear for multiple deployments and saw more killing and death in one night than the average soldier ever does. He felt it was his duty. It’s a huge misconception only the poor serve.
