@KevinHCurrie 1st public employees pay tax too. 2nd, they add wealth: turn on a tap or try getting goods or services to and from your business without using a road. These aren't merely "necessary", they are investment just like business investment. They are just owned differently.

@gordperks Other forms of work ie government services feed on tax dollars. Although necessary they detract from the tax contribution. Thus sustainability justifies supporting business. Toronto over too many years has failed on this key issue especially local small business!
