Today is a great day for @JacksonvilleU, Lake Eerie College of Osteopathic Medicine, our healthcare community, the Arlington area, and the city as a whole. We are honored that LECOM chose to invest $50 million here to develop this campus, which will be our region’s first four-year medical school. #orthotwitter #match2024 orthopaedic surgery stats: ERAS had 1727 applicants NRMP has 1492 applicants 916 ortho spots available (915 filled) 235 applicants either withdrew or dual applied and matched into something else (NRMP doesn’t count them in the # applied). 47% of people who originally applied in ortho didn’t match into ortho 39% of people who made it to match day hoping to be orthopaedic surgeons didn’t match 28% of MD seniors and 55% of DO seniors didn’t match today!! @MSOSOrtho @jbcarmody @DrAdamBitterman @StudentAOAO
