I think a lot of Catholic and Protestant apologists come across as representing Christ better than some of the Eastern Orthodox ones. People like Jay Dyer, JimBob, and Andrew Wilson have hurt the reputation of EO apologetics. If I were EO, I’d probably want to distance myself from that style in a public way to improve the overall impression. And I know this is not just me (I'm an atheist), I have seen many other Christians, Muslims, atheists voice the same opinion many times - and we're not the crazy ones.
