Here's a breakdown of an average nightly operating costs per team for winged 305s and 410s on dirt, as well as winged 410s on pavement. Now you can cut corners here and there and still luck out and finish well still. These are just close numbers

@HordRaceWatcher That's insane! The reason I was asking is pavement pounders posted how many sprint car/silver crown races there were in north America in 2026, and that number for the whole continent is 146 😳

For us with the pavement 410, we're at about $2,400 per show. Not including fuel for the generator/atv, engine wear and tear costs, and only purchasing 3 tires a night with Must See. If we'd attempt to run the race for a million we'd be at about $3,500 having to buy 8 tires 😅

#NASCAR - Elton Sawyer says they have had discussions about stage lengths at Daytona and Talladega regarding fuel saving. Says it's conflicting and that he can hear the chatter about running half throttle. If he turns off the radio and watches, he sees cars running four- and five-wide while fans stand and cheer. It was lower on the priority list than bringing back The Chase and some other items on the to-do list. "What do we want to fix?" He also said that the Indy 500 drivers are in fuel conservation mode as they take the green flag.

With Dodge cycling back into NASCAR over the next few years, any chance some of that funding trickles down to getting some Mopar power plants back into sprint cars?

A major winter storm will impact Northern Ohio and Northwestern PA this weekend. Snow begins Saturday evening and continues through Monday, with the heaviest snow and most dangerous travel conditions expected Sunday. Widespread 6-10 inches likely, with some areas over 10 inches.
