The number of scam “agents” out there is crazy. If someone says “hey I got this school and they’ll offer X but only if you sign with me”…..RUN AWAY!!!! 99% of the time the “offer” is bullshit The other 1% of the time they don’t give a crap about you off the court or the fit. They just want a quick bag.

LEWIS AWARD The winner is chosen by the Greater Houston Basketball Coaches Association 👉 That’s the key group. WHAT THAT MEANS (REAL TALK)    •   It’s a coaches-driven vote    •   Members are high school basketball coaches in the Houston area    •   Typically includes:       •   Public (UIL) coaches       •   Private school coaches       •   Long-time respected voices in the Houston basketball community They evaluate:    •   Production (stats matter, but not everything)    •   Team success    •   Impact on winning    •   Reputation within the coaching circle    •   Consistency over the season HOW PLAYERS ACTUALLY GET ON THAT BOARD This isn’t a “send film and win” type award. Players get traction through:    •   Coaches talking (this matters more than people admit)    •   Deep playoff runs    •   Consistent production vs real competition    •   Visibility in Houston circles (events, matchups, district play)
