I told my daughter that if she broke her high school’s lacrosse save record I would buy her a new acoustic guitar. Then she plays this at Guitar Center- I think this is why it’s called”Pulling on one’s heart strings.” I could listen to her play this literally forever.

@TinCup2020 @KevinSpollen @TeeTimesPub The average viewership was much lower than 5 million. They're using total viewership which is very different to what the United States uses. But O'Neil is obviously having to sell LIV as best he can.

The #LIVGolf business plan that will be pitched to potential investors will based around a few key pillars: - An expansion of player equity. Prior to this new business plan the only players in the league that were granted equity were the team captains. This will expand and non-captains will be able to own equity in the teams. This will further strengthen the bond between the players in the league as they give those players a true interest in the league's growth. Nearly a dozen players have reportedly expressed interest in either securing or furthering investment in their team or the league as a whole, with many more making introductions to potential outside team and league investors. This internal alignment shows just how much the players believe in the model. - A 10 event schedule that capitalizes on the momentum LIV has had in many areas of the world. This this pillar boils down to trimming the fat and expanding on what's working. I would expect to see the less commercially successful events drop off the schedule (Riyadh, I'm talking about you), and for the league to lean into the most successful events like Adelaide and South Africa. These events, by all measures, were very successful and show that the demand for elite golf around the world exists and is viable. The new approach won't be limited to "How do we replicate Adelaide?", but will also be "How do we make Adelaide even bigger?" or "How do we make Adelaide even more meaningful and memorable?". Take what's been shown to be successful thus far and grow it, while planting roots that will flourish in similar, but new markets. - A strengthening of the bottom line. This is a two-pronged approach that includes increasing revenues and cutting costs. A lot of that cost cutting will come from the lessened schedule and a reduction of corporate bloat, while some may include a restructuring of existing player contracts and reduced expenses in event operations. The other prong of that two pronged approach will be expanding on the continuing trend of increased revenue. By leveraging their most successful events and looking for opportunities to expand on that model those elsewhere in the world, there will be numerous avenues in which they can increase revenues. These events are largely funded by tourism boards and global sponsors, but the success of them will also allow for LIV Golf to ask more of existing partners, including their global broadcast deals. Keep in mind, over 5 million viewers watched the Adelaide event worldwide. - Leveraging investment to build towards profitability. The $200-350 million that LIV Golf is expecting to raise isn't simply an extension of runway. These funds will be used to develop global partnerships both in and outside of the golf ecosystem. These partnerships will accomplish multiple things. The first is the most obvious, they will greatly decrease the expected time to profitability. The second is enhancing existing relationships with events around the world to provide increased playing opportunities for current and future LIV Golf players. These relationships could also begin to lay the groundwork for potential pathways into the league as well as further integration into the global golf ecosystem. Overall, the pitch to investors brings clarity in terms of path to profitability, unity in terms of belief in the product, and optimism in terms of building on what's already been established.

Can’t exclude the caddie as it’s any players biggest investment/expense. Ryder played 28 events last year. Caddie salary~ 70K Caddie % another 70K or so on 1.3 million earnings Guys like Ryder might not have coaches travel w him as much to save money but def has expenses for coaches. Might be a fee or %. He might save a little on not having a big of “team” as Griffin but the fact is players have to invest in your career. Griffins % of expenses to earnings was around 10%, guaranteed Ryders % was much higher no matter how many corners cut. The fact is players on the PGA Tour have to invest in your career, because you’re competing against players who have the things Ben Griffin has. On the dev tour side Tom Whitney described it best when talking about airline seats and investing in your career. He used to get cheapest seat but learned if getting an exit row or 1st class tix means his body feels better and he gets some sleep, then the few hundred bucks is worth it. Same with hotels, eating right etc. you can cut corners and plenty of players have made it without a “team” but it’s harder.
Golf Fan 123@Euphoric696

@acaseofthegolf1 I'm more interested in what someone like Sam Ryder or David Lipsky pays out on a weekly basis (excluding caddie) Limited sponsors, clinging to status, etc

My wife sent me to Publix for milk. Two hours later I’m on IPA #5, elbows deep in wings, patrolling the self-checkout like a damn security guard with a pint in my hand and a suspicious eye on every Yankee trying to scan their own kale. 🧐 🍺 This is not a drill. They put a real bar inside the store. 🍷 Publix: Where shopping is literally a pleasure. Came for the BOGOs, stayed for happy hour, leaving with a solid buzz and zero milk. 😂 The best part? Sitting at that bar watching all the other husbands slowly realize they’re never making it home with the groceries either. 👏🏻 Is it still grocery shopping if you’re hammered? Asking for a friend who’s definitely sleeping on the couch tonight. Send help. Or more wings. 🍺🛒💀

@TeeTimesPub 1. I'll need to see proof of the "5 million watched Adelaide globally." comment. No reason to believe that's accurate without the proof to back it up. 2. If the $250-$300 million will be used to strengthen and expand current and future partnerships, how do you plan on 1/

LIV is between a rock and a hard place and I'm not talking about $$ They need to rethink their direction and embrace the OWGR or embrace teams 100% In order for teams to take off, the individual needs to die Which would mean no OWGR points but we fans don't care about that

@JoePompliano @GolfDigest Now how much is he getting annually from all of those companies on his shirt, hat, bag and Ping sponsorship? Wouldn't be shocked if those alone cover at least half of the total.

Ben Griffin says he spent about $50,000 per week last year on travel, housing, coaches, trainers, etc. If you multiply that by the 30 events he played in 2025, that's $1.5 million in expenses against roughly $15 million in on-course earnings. (h/t @GolfDigest)

@DominickDegen @CardPurchaser AI says: A Michael Jordan gold $100 bill is a decorative, novelty collectible rather than legal tender. Made of thin, colorized 24k gold foil, these items typically feature Jordan in his Chicago Bulls uniform. They are popular fan souvenirs that usually cost between $5 and $25

3 of Golf’s 4 biggest stars have push back against Tours this year. Rory with PGAT schedule. Rahm with DPWT expectations. Now Bryson is toying with Tour life like a cat does with a mouse. The balance of power has rightly shifted & it’s in the player’s hands now.
