@OjPats4 prosecutors decline to prosecute all the time when they know they cant get a conviction.. its called prosecutorial discression.. and it's what gives them the tool to keep egg off their face for the bad guy getting away with no punishment.

@OjPats4 just like if a grand jury indicts someone for a crime... if the prosecutor then goes to court and the person is acquitted..... the whole process is considered a failure.. the purpose of impeachment is removal/punishment... the senate acquitting... nullifies it.

@OjPats4 yes.. that would be the only votes we'd have... then both of them would be 100% acquitted in the senate... the purpose of an impeachment is to indict. if the person is acquitted... its a FAILED impeachment.

@OjPats4 the same group of senators who wont convict and remove trump... also wont convict and remove barr. it would be only us doing it and it would be meaningless in the scheme of things.. for a little momentary satisfaction
