@JJGriffie @deanorogers2 @CrosbyBaseball @Freddiesgato 95 wins the division and the phillies could get to 90 for sure. Injury bug hits again. Let's see where everything sits on August 1st.
English

@KevinYoung161 @deanorogers2 @CrosbyBaseball @Freddiesgato I honestly wish I wasn’t right. But here we are… l still think the Braves are the better club, but obviously I was correct: the Phillies are a legit threat

@UKBaseball @LukeL1019 Way to go Luke! A great player and better person. Go show em' what you got!

Imagine going from fighting to make your D-III team to a mid-major to the SEC to being named one of the nation's top middle infielders to being signed by your hometown team you grew up rooting for...
Go be great, @LukeL1019!

@Blabnh @AlexiLalas Nice of you to assume that all kids have backyards or the means for ball most public funded parks are closed to the public. So yeah
English

@jdpwrestling1 @mulvihill79 @AlexiLalas The USA hasnt played a World Cup match between 1–6 a.m. ET since 2002. Hosting it here brought in casual fans, and created more hype. In 4 years the USA will be playing mid day as the tournament is in Spain/Portugal
English

@mulvihill79 @AlexiLalas This happened because games were played in American time zones. Casual American fans will not get up at 1 am to watch football. People like me watch Serie A at 3 am, watch F1 whenever and the Tour de France early in the a.m.

Doug, Who are you hiring then? The grass isn't always greener

Landing Mauricio Pochettino to lead the #USMNT was a triumph. Rehiring the coach who oversaw the most humiliating World Cup loss in program history would be indefensible. @FOXSoccer: foxsports.com/stories/soccer…

@SoccerDadinCali Could be mid level but 100+ Americans in europe when it was 15 no less than 20 years ago. That is a good trend that needs to continue
English

It's time to accept that the USMNT has a mid-level player pool regardless of the number of top 5 league, Champions League and European based players.
Judging players solely by league or club affiliation is a proven failed formula.

If you go to MLS before the age of 31, that is tacit admission that you aren’t serious about the national team, and you should swiftly be retired In fact, if you’re in MLS at the age of 25, that is enough evidence that you aren’t good enough
English

@AtxDem @rbmcrae89 @ldock93 I didn't start this thread nor did I ever state that college soccer is the solution. It would help grow the sport, it clearly wouldn't hurt in that category. That's it. Nothing more.
English

@KevinYoung161 @rbmcrae89 @ldock93 OK bud...all colleges having soccer teams is the answer.
I mean, anyone who knows anything about soccer will tell you it's not but since you REALLY want it to be...we can say that.
English

People get mad at me for saying this, but if the SEC and Big XII schools were to add men's soccer programs, it would go a long way towards developing players and developing a bigger fan base
Major League Shill@VoxProMLS
Honestly, it’s time to start taking college soccer more seriously in the United States
English

@AtxDem @rbmcrae89 @ldock93 We can walk and chew gum at the same time. Already do both but the Kentucky Men's soccer stadium is 1 mile from our house. Zero negative with big time universities having soccer. Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Tennessee, ect
English

@KevinYoung161 @rbmcrae89 @ldock93 There's already a lot of college soccer out there. Take your kids to MLS games - watch EPL.
English

@brandyp0608 @ldock93 Don't disagree. It doesn't solve the problem, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to have top universities who already have great facilities for their women's teams showcase the game. The love for Collegiate sports is big in this country, having more programs would be a positive
English

Agree that it may grow the love of the game and maybe it would even help grow the culture of soccer in this country because it would give kids a team or players to follow but it still wouldn’t necessarily help address the fact that the research shows key development happens at the younger ages.
English

@AtxDem @rbmcrae89 @ldock93 Of course they do. The growth of the sport would be positive if the biggest universities (who already have top facilities for their women's program) added men's soccer. Not that this path will develop some world talent. But the product is quality enough for youth to watch live
English

@KevinYoung161 @rbmcrae89 @ldock93 And Claudio Renya played at UVA. There are already alot of college programs at big time schools to drive interest - I played college soccer. There's also MLS.
Elite prospects need to be ID'd and sent to Euro Academies like Pulisic and McKennie. Or atleast MLS academies.
