@Andy_McQuade It’s a Visa. I canceled the card and reported the fraud. Will see what happens next. I’m mostly annoyed with Amazon.

Credit card company won't charge back? Or will amazon penalize your account if you do? Also, Amex is famous for issuing a new card number and still allowing the old numbers (now being used for fraud) to keep working if they were set up on autopay. If it's Amex, make sure the number is nuked (they told me it was on the phone and then a month later bad charges on the old number landed).

Someone is using my credit card for their monthly Amazon Prime account. That’s the only fraudulent charge. Amazon won’t tell me who it is or cancel the charge/account. I have to get a whole new card. Annoying.

OH MY GOSH. I had this EXACT thing years ago, and they WOULD NOT tell me who or how it was happening. I did a whole set of IG stories about it back in the day. Eventually, I got the customer service agent to tell me it was someone whose name started with an L so I began guessing all kinds of L names and finally she caved and said, “it’s Linda” and I’m like, “I don’t know any Linda. you need to cancel this,” and they finally agreed to cancel her prime subscription, which was somehow being charged to my credit card. So insane!! We still talk about Linda in my house.

Worst part about hiring B and C players: they’re hard to fire. They’re not really doing anything “wrong” per se so it’s hard to justify letting them go. Have to just tell them they’re not meeting the standard - never easy.

@mountainwesttax I had a water leak in Adams County a few years back. They allowed me to get the overcharge waived one time if I could show that I had to fix the leak. Saved me a lot of money.
