Most business problems are personal problems in disguise.
You think it's your pricing. Or your niche. Or your inability to focus for more than 12 seconds.
But then you sit down and ask: What do I value? What keeps happening? And are those two things quietly at war?
Here's a quick exercise you can try: List your core values, and then name a persistent problem in your work.
When I do this with clients, the results are painfully obvious:
→ “I value generosity — but I keep saying yes to work I resent.”
One client finally stopped playing the Discount Fairy and raised her rates 30%.
→ “I value kindness — but I don’t extend it to myself.”
That realization led to actual rest time between projects. And guess what? His work got better.
→ “I want to succeed — but Stranger Things feels better than a cold pitch.”
Once she saw the pattern, she set a rule: no Netflix until three outreach emails are sent.
This is the stuff that actually keeps you stuck.
You're not lazy. And you know what you need to do. You’re just caught in a values conflict you haven’t named yet.
Fix that — and the "business" stuff gets a lot easier.

@thereal_EstherG @Sp00kyJacky @mountainwesttax This. And I literally no longer care about trying to educate idiots. I just enjoy eating ice cream and staying 142 pounds. 🍦 🍕 💪🏻
English

@Sp00kyJacky @abbiperets @mountainwesttax Nah. It actually impacts the way your body metabolizes food and uses carbs. It is a grave misunderstanding to think this is just about appetite suppression without understanding how else it works.

@abbiperets I’m glad you got it canceled. I had no such luck. After reading your message, I will blame this all on Linda, whoever she is.
English

@oasisdevices Wait, can you combine it with the oura? I’m going to run out of fingers!!

@ppcguru @Codie_Sanchez Just know they’re not really supposed to share the subscription 🤣
If they’re physically in the same space probably less of an issue but still not really allowed.
English

I love @Codie_Sanchez, but seriously??
The cheapest "employee" at my company costs $100 a month, runs on AI, and does the work of five people.
Watch someone try to sell you a $19/hour assistant instead.
There's a take making the rounds: a $19/hour virtual assistant is worth more than $4,000 in AI token spend.
Cool. Two problems.
1) Who on earth is spending $4,000 a month on tokens to do VA work? For $19 an hour I can hire a physical human, in an office, IN CALIFORNIA. Nobody serious is torching four grand a month in tokens on admin. That number exists to make the VA look cheap.
2) A $20 to $100 a month AI subscription is a force multiplier on the person already in the seat. Not a line item to cut.
Real example one of my businesses:
My partner and one employee SHARE a single $100 a month Claude subscription.
One of them does development, copywriting, AND creative. Three jobs. Five hires, the old way. One person now.
The other does biz dev, ops AND ships updates to the custom backend of our lead-gen agency. Daily. Actual new features, not "I'll get to it next sprint."
That is $50 to $100 a month. Total.
So here is the honest test. Hand someone a $20 to $100 a month AI tool, and if you cannot find at least a 5% lift in what they produce, for every $1,200 a month VA you are paying, never mind a $3,000 one, stop blaming the tool.
That is not an AI problem. That is operator error.
The folks telling you a cheap VA beats AI usually have VAs to sell you. Follow the money.
Codie Sanchez@Codie_Sanchez
My prediction... More jobs are going to be lost to offshoring than AI. We ran the numbers in our own company and we’ve seen a 10x better ROI from hiring a $19/hour virtual assistant than spending $4,000 in AI tools. A lot of what you're building with OpenClaw or n8n right now a VA can do better and cheaper. Just doesn’t get you the same hype on twitter.

@JamesonCamp If you’re interested I can send you a loom of the kind of stuff I’ve done or hop on a quick call to talk you thru it. I don’t do much of this these days, but you can do some wildly awesome stuff.
English

@abbiperets Yes right message is pretty close it seems! I use kit
English

@DrEliDavid That would be a dream. Don’t know if it’s realistic.

@MorganBarrettX Tell her to ask her dentist about an oral sleep appliance — similar to Invisalign retainers. For people with mild to moderate sleep apnea, it eliminates the need for cpap.
English

I’ve been encouraging my mom to treat her sleep apnea. She really doesn’t want to wear a mask though. I’ve been pretty insistent and she finally relented
For confirmation, I asked for a picture of the machine on her bedside table. It’s not that I don’t trust her… I just thought maybe she was saying she did so I’d stop bothering her
10 minutes later she sends a picture with a Gemini watermark
lmao

@realpeteyb123 Hahahah as a kosher consumer I’m just grateful to get like a bag of peanuts or something
English

What if the show host is Jewish though?
Austin Franco@AustinFranco123
I’m happy to go on any shows to explain my doxxing and situation, plus much more. God bless you all!

@EinhornGabe For me, it’s when I post something on fb that cross-posts to threads. The crazies come out in droves…

English

Just read these messages and try to tell me antisemitism isn’t real.
And these are just a few examples. I’m not a big time creator or anything, and yet I still get these messages everyday across all social media platforms. So I can’t even imagine what larger influencers and people are facing.
It’s been so normalized to hate Jews that there will be people in these comments that will still argue against it, saying it’s fake, or that this isn’t antisemitism. If you are a normal, sane human being, you can clearly see how disgusting this is. I don’t even know if these people are real or just bots at this point, but we need to do something about this. I think it starts with leading by example, and honestly just not even engaging with these people and giving them the satisfaction.

@kchau Can you make it work with hearing aids??? Hearing in noise is such an issue for so many HoH people.
English

I'm working on a new app that solves a pain point I've had for years: Loud Restaurants.
I've had this idea ever since going to Austin and eating at Canje - the food was delicious, but it was so disorientingly loud in there that I couldn't even have a conversation with my wife sitting across from me.
Wearing earplugs would mean I also have to yell just to talk. So I made Undertone (Well, Claude Fable made it, no shame in that)
Use your iPhone and AirPods Pro or Max (or any noise cancellation headphones of your choice), there's some audio processing to help with noise even more, but really just leverages the noise cancellation tech built into the devices.
No internet or wifi network required. It uses the local networking and discovery capability. Supports your entire dinner group.
That means you can have your own little chat bubble on an airplane, train, subway, or have a live real-time chat outside in nature.
It's waiting for testflight review now, and I would love your help testing it. This is for us people who hate LoudPlace(s) (this was the codename that Scott hated)
