Another excellent email from Jeremy King – humourously timed as ever – to tell diners that he will reopen the old and famous Le Caprice, under a new name, next year. Legendary maitre d’ Jesus Adorno is returning. Nostalgia for the old guard and a taste of the ‘80s for newcomers.

Jeremy King says he has signed a lease for the old Le Caprice site and will be joined there by Jesus Adorno: "It will of course be a new version but I hope you will find it reassuringly familiar in how it looks, and what we serve. It will open early next year."

Coming to the end of a thought provoking and insightful tour of some of Britain’s most interesting restaurants, it’s been fascinating although my waistline has taken a hammering;)
