A Distribution Line outage is currently affecting 1,700 KEYS’ customers in the Old Town section of Key West. KEYS’ crews are actively working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Please follow this post for additional updates.

In order to make the repair an additional feeder in Old Town will be de-energized shortly for less than ten minutes. Power should be restored to affected customers within the hour, barring no unforeseen circumstances.

This outage was triggered by an electrical fault within the Key West Diesel Electrical Substation. Crews are on scene making necessary repairs to restore power to affected customers.
