It was my pleasure to participate in a panel discussion titled "School Meals Powering #FoodSystems Transformation", during #UNFSS2023 in Rome. There is a common understanding that our food systems are in crisis, and our children are bearing the brunt of it. That's why the UAE joined the School Meals Coalition, which was launched under the leadership of Finland and France, as it represents a testament to the transformative power of collective action for a better future. We intends to support the Coalition by assisting in the creation of sustainable food supply chains, sharing our experience in reducing food loss and waste through National Food Loss and Waste Initiative (Ne’ma), promoting the sales of local produce, and leveraging technology to tackle pressing challenges. The #UAE is committed to providing sufficient, healthy, nutritious, and safe food for our young generation and helping other countries do the same. @FAO @WFP @FoodSystems
