🚨🚨 NEWS ABOUT THE ONE PIECE ANIME REMAKE FROM THE CEO OF WIT STUDIO! George Wada: “The reason we decided to produce a remake of the One Piece anime comes from a reflection by the author, Eiichiro Oda. He pointed out that the work has become very long and rich in detail, and since it began a long time ago, the new generation—used to modern productions—does not necessarily feel the same enthusiasm toward the older animation. He felt a certain regret about this and wanted younger audiences to be able to discover and follow the story. This motivated me to recreate this legendary tale using modern techniques, adapted to today’s audience. The goal is to use modern animation technologies to bring the work back to life and make it accessible to a new generation of fans around the world. Our studio is not just remaking panels—this remake will be dense and impactful, without unnecessary stretching. It will combine visual enjoyment, strong storytelling, and flawless pacing. During its original broadcast, the series aired on Sunday mornings at 8 a.m., which is considered a children’s time slot. At Wit Studio, we are proud to produce remarkable works such as Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, and Vinland Saga. These are very distinctive creations. We want to approach One Piece with the same strength and level of quality, while fully respecting Toei Animation and their remarkable work. She said that Aphrodite's bed in God of War III was intentionally shaped like a labia to tie into Greek mythology themes. "The sex mini-games were led by female designers."

@niroj28 @TotallyNotMark When I was doing coms I charged half up front. I've had to many people not pay after the work is done.

@TotallyNotMark I typically don't accept payment before the commission is done. Is it more common to get paid before the art is done?

If you're making a customer wait months and months for something they paid for, that should be called out. Excuses exist, but as soon as you accept payment for a service, art stops being you hobby and becomes a job that requires a level of professionalism.

@comicartistchat I know he's not the best artist in the world, but I choose Oda. The sheer amount of characters he has designed blows my mind.

@StrangePages I'm writing and drawing a book at the moment. Writing takes planning and effort, yes, but it's a fraction of what goes into the artwork.

Is this a hot take? Writing a comic book requires more effort than it takes to draw one. As a writer, you need to be aware how much work the artists are going to put into bringing your script to life. As well, you need to be aware how much time money and effort a reader is going to put into consuming it. Don’t put the success or failure of your comic onto your artist. Take responsibility. Put in the work. Your readers will thank you for it.
