My father passed away 1/8/2020. This photo was taken at Hargeisa Airport on their way to London to sign Somaliland Declaration of Independence. He was a principled and honorable patriot. For his children, he was simply a loving father who set high standards. Send Duca, thxs. AUN

I blame the Somali people, and of course, the media that never holds these individuals accountable or drives them out of the political scene! If this had happened in any other country, she would’ve been ashamed of her father’s history and never sought to become an ambassador!

I regret the false and prejudiced accusations made against your late father. May Allah have mercy on him. It is deeply unfortunate that such hostility has been directed toward a man who served honorably during his lifetime simply because he was a proud Somalilander. I also believe this incident should serve as a moment of reflection and learning for you, given your role as an Ambassador representing Somalia and your long-standing alignment with unionist views, despite your Somaliland origin, a nation that has never shared that ideology. Once again, please accept my sympathy for the unjust and intolerant attack directed at you and your family. For the record, Mr. Ahmed Duale, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, is alive and currently residing in Toronto, Canada. Therefore, the individual being mistaken for your late father is not him.
