GITHUB JUST KILLED THE WORST PART OF VIBE CODING
they shipped a free tool called Spec Kit and it already crossed 120,000 stars
the fix is stupidly simple
instead of tossing vague prompts at an agent and praying it doesn't wreck your project
Spec Kit makes the AI write a full structured spec before it touches a single line of code
it works through the problem first
figures out what you want to build
asks about the gaps
lays out the project
then it starts coding
you get fewer insane bugs, cleaner output and results you can predict
the flow looks like this:
/constitution for your rules and standards
/specify for what you want to build
/clarify for the open questions before you start
/plan for architecture and stack
/tasks for the ordered work
/implement to run it
it plugs into Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI and 25+ other agents
120,000 stars, 10,000 forks, open source, shipped by GitHub itself
learning to drive agents like this is most of what separates people getting hired as AI engineers from everyone still fighting their prompts

🚨#BREAKING: Police in New Bern NC are asking the public's help to identify the two men who cut down a brand-new Flock camera that was just installed.
The public allegedly has submitted hundreds of tips by sending in names like "Batman and Robin" and "Lone Ranger and Tonto."

@NotJoshGeyer Law and order must be restored. But a race war, actually anything that divides the American people is not it. This will lend our government more power, not less.

@ClaudeDevs Anthropic is actively trying to outlaw open source AI, no?
English

@TrendSpider the korean stock's valuation is already over 1T
are you saying that the american stock and shares valuation will also be over 1T?
so over 2T total?

@ShadowofEzra until people start getting hurt, it's all just more profit for the people in charge

American citizens across the country are physically cutting down Flock cameras as authorities are losing control as more people are viewing the technology as an unconstitutional form of mass surveillance.
The incidents are being described as part of a growing trend where cordless, battery-powered tools are used to quickly cut down Flock camera poles because they are highly portable, fast, and quiet.
Mass surveillance must be stopped everywhere.

@jakeshieldsajj They’re either feds or they’re retarded. Either way, not a good look

🚨JUST IN: OPENAI OFFERS US GOVERNMENT A 5% STAKE WORTH $42.6 BILLION
OpenAI has discussed giving the US government a 5% stake in the company, worth roughly $42.6B based on its reported $852B valuation, per FT.
The idea is to seed a public wealth fund that could let Americans share in AI profits through dividend-style payouts.
It is modeled on Alaska’s oil fund, which has paid eligible residents annual checks since 1982.

"Meat rots in your gut."
This one has survived a century purely on the strength of being said with confidence.
Protein and fat are broken down and absorbed high up, in the small intestine, almost completely, long before anything reaches the colon. What actually arrives in the colon to sit around and ferment is the stuff you couldn't digest. Which is, overwhelmingly, fibre. Plant matter.
Your stomach, meanwhile, runs at a pH of around 1.5. That's an acid bath built for flesh.
So if something down there really is putrefying, have a quiet think about which item on your plate you failed to digest.
It wasn't the steak.

@thetoyinvestor Whats driving it? Is there not a lot of great train sets already?

One of my biggest LEGO regrets of last year is not stacking more of these.
Even if you paid full MSRP + sales tax and factor in NO additional perks (GWPs, VIP points, cash back, discounted gift cards), it’s currently netting you $140 / unit.
Like many others, I was hopeful it would go on sale but never did.
Ironically, my last mention of this set in my newsletter stated “I think it will silently disappear and we will be kicking ourselves for not having these.”
Oops.

@benjamincowen no one can know when the true bottom will hit, stress that so people don't ape in on posts like this.
and make one grand prediction, noting that it's by probability, not certainty.
Put some skin in the game
English

@benjamincowen Now that it's July you're suggesting the bottom is normally in July.
Pick a horse and stick to it as a probability prediction. the wishy washy so you can claim to have been right later is kinda weak. perhaps the bottom was 57, perhaps we hit 55, perhaps lower than 50.
