This has to be one of the dumbest thing I've read in a very long time. Most of the Igbo children I know in America that can't speak Igbo, it was because of their fathers. And I know this for a fact because I would have been a victim if my mother didn't intervene and blocked my dad from doing that nonsense. My sister's children are in the same predicament now because of their dad. My mother, yet again, is the one hiding to try and teach Igbo to her grandkids. In both occasion within my own family were such is occurring or could have occurred, the men were the problem, not the women. Ironically enough, it is not just in my family.
