Why hasn't a post-mortem been done on even a single child who died from cough syrup in MP? First, the SDM said they didn't have consent. But when the reporter told him that the parents are saying nobody asked them, he started giving other excuses. Post-mortem was a must in this case. The parents were willing. Even if they weren’t, consent isn’t needed for post-mortem in cases of unnatural death under CrPC 174.
