You actually don't have to pretend every piece of media you enjoy is some super deep and heartfelt thing, the pool scene (and Reze as a whole) is just a woman using sex appeal to manipulate a horny man, there's nothing "intimate" about it. This spider is called "女郎蜘蛛," btw

I love how Fujimoto refuses to turn intimacy into something sexual by default. He lets two people exist together, so vulnerable and unguarded. The scene of them in the pool isn’t erotic at all, yet it becomes one of the most intimate moments shared between characters on screen.
