I invited three men to Friendsgiving, not because I am interested in them, but because I thought they should not be alone and feel some fondness for each of them. Pictured are the results. Final outcome is the women will be dining alone today.

@EmbryEthan I'm in NY after a blizzard on my scooter (wheelchair) so I'm cruising down the icy sidewalk nearly collide with this elegant woman. we laugh keep moving I realize it's Annette Benning & can only say “She’s Stunning!”

@chronicparent30 Those of us with visible disabilities seem to be living science exhibits, sometimes. Random passersby stopping and asking questions about "what happened to <x>?" Being put on the spot like that isn't a pleasurable experience. It ought to require a fee.

@ruemcclammyhand WTF? Just read the story of how they gave up their adopted child who has special needs. Those are the cases where you need to buckle down, be strong and care for your child. They failed.

@Etanarachel For me it’s the expansion encompassing non residents that’s concerning. It speaks to a predicted increase in demand.

Hospital worker to me, a disabled person: “Do you have a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order?” Me: “No.” Hospital: “Do you want one? Me: “No.” Hospital: “Are you sure?” Me: “Very sure.” Hospital: “You can always change your mind.” Would a nondisabled person be treated this way?
