8-1-3 for T64 (34th) with the Bridge. Gutted to have lost the win and in for asymmetrical cut but also so proud of my first day 2! Shout out to @emothann for the deck inspiration and all of the Bristol team + @shiny_nala for the support. Matchups 👇

145th at Prague with Arboliva. A very frustrating misplay at 7-1-2 resulted in a 7-4-2 finish. List felt really good. Shout out to @lvke_tcg for same 60’ing, my brother for his first day 2 and my opponents for being lovely. We’ll get em’ next season.

@amcharles0 I really appreciate how balanced this analysis is. You can understand how a situation occurred without agreeing with it. I think the biggest test is how consistent they are with a stricter approach going forward…

During round 12 of the Toronto regional championships Justin Newdorf took a 2 prize penalty for slow play at the end of game 3 with 4:10 seconds still on the clock, ultimately ending the match early and him conceding (he was already in a bad position). Unfortunately we never got to see that game fully play out due to this penalty. Justin was warned during game 2 to pick up the pace so they felt like a 2 prize penalty was reasonable during game 3 but it ultimately decided a game that would have played out naturally if both players had been left to play with the time remaining. Was this penalty warranted or was this way too harsh and the judges ended up robbing us of a great set? Lucky for you guys the pie chart has returned and I did some digging again 👇🏼 Total play time: 43:18 (this removed in-between time and the end of the game we missed) Justin total play time: 26:08 Justin average turn time: 2:01 Justin longest turn: 3:44 Cerys total play time: 17:10 Cerys average turn time: 1:19 Cerys longest turn time: 2:27 This means Justin took 61% of the total gameplay time during this match while Cerys played 39% of the match. In my opinion this is not unreasonable and because the game was on track to finish and neither player was doing anything malicious (I think they justin was just locked in) the 2 prize penalty to decide the match felt incorrect in my opinion. It’s like a ref calling PI at the end of a game. However, he WAS warned, and WAS taking his time in a game 3 situation. It’s also fair to access his poor position and reasonably assume a tie was favorable for him so I’m sure that was part of the judges decision. Tough spot for everyone involved and easy to see both sides of the situation. I still don’t know where the line is drawn to constitute a slow play penalty. This did not feel egregious enough to warrant it but I could be wrong

Watching Toronto this weekend has made me unbelievably excited for Birmingham this week. Especially after watching Katy smash it. Looking forward to seeing some friendly faces as well!

A question Pokemon Twitter. What do you do with your PokemonTCG Live Logs. I know you can copy them into Training Court but is there any other software? Something that can recreate board states for example

I beg you all whatever happened please be kind. You are talking about someone who has already been punished. He’s a 16 year old kid who has just had his life ripped apart. You don’t need to make bad jokes on the internet.

35th at Lille with Flareon, my best performance ever! 😁😁 I think 2 game loses were due to hard bricks, but the rest were all misplays. The deck is so hard but also so powerful it's usually your fault if you lose

seeing only ONE woman total on the casting desk for this upcoming event is disappointing, and i’m confused how this game that i love continues to make decisions like this!! 🫶 make more space

Every game has been in Arceus. I think I’ve worked out my deck for Lille and Gdańsk…

Bit of a tough one to process at Frankfurt🥲 Easy to make excuses - swapped deck somewhat last minute, took a gamble running Precious Trolley - but ultimately did not play well enough on the day... Regardless, it was a fantastic weekend with amazing people, bring on Lille! 🇫🇷

96/2432 at Frankfurt with an 8-2-4 record. Happy overall, but could have gone even better. The deck is great when you avoid PultNoir (both my losses). Four boss is huge. Thanks to @Arcandanything who I copied 57/60 from. +80 matchups 👇

Another example is Charizard. I do think the deck was a decent pick but I think 3 in the top 16 is flattering. In the 33 matches the 3 players played before topcut they only hit 3 PultDusk. It was at 17% of the meta. A terrible matchup and they were lucky to not hit more. 9/9

I think what I’m trying to say is before making a call on the meta based on what won/ came top 8 look at the underlying data. A lot of the field picked Dengo and even though only 1 made top 8, the stats back the choice. It converted well and had a good matchup spread. 8/9

I am sure after yesterday’s Pokemon TCG worlds final there are going to be a lot people saying “everyone underestimated Garde again” but I think it’s a lazy take. You should look at the data before making snap calls like that. Here is a thread on why…1/9
